As you can tell, it is not cheap to attain the gear and I'm not sure if a cheaper version would be much more effective either. Could be worth a shot for budget optimizers though. Anyways, this thread and the discussions inspired this build, so it's well appreciated. Would love to see how much further totems can be pushed. (I did try stacking dex with HoWA. It was really cool, but much less DPS and tankiness). |

thanks for the build! i followed this all the way to end game and im so glad i gave totems a try. having some experience with totems from POE1 years ago it was nice reliving the playstyle. im now level 93 with 4.5k hp, 558 str and currently focusing on working on a pob to fully min max with an adorned setup once im a few levels higher. ill have to see what it actually comes out to dps wise since im not really sure how increase to damage against enemies with broken amour functions.

I want to know how we could increase our boss killing speed so we can safely and efficiently farm xesht 4 or simulacrum 4.
Say you had 500divs, what kind of changes you think could be made? |

" I believe we could retool the build to use fire damage instead of physical, taking advantage of the fact that it's possible to get over 200% increased elemental damage on each 2H mace (combining base stats and socketed soul cores) which would apply to the totems. You would then also max out increased fire damage on your rings with the help of ingenuity for another 100%+ inc damage. Gem set up would likely become Shockwave totem>Conc effect>Overabundance>Martial tempo>Fire infusion>fire penetration. Tree would shift to take avatar of fire and to take additional fire pen on tree. Trade anvil's weight for Warcaller's bellow. Add Flammability curse on blasphemy. Back of the napkin math says this could get in the neighborhood of 65%-90% more damage (depending on exact item stats) once entirely rebuilt. Props to gabecreates#9816 for finding this tech. Link is to his Gemling version of the build: https://maxroll.gg/poe2/planner/3v3ie00c Build would lose some quality of life from removing inspiration, so I wouldn't want to play it without a life based Morior and a maxxed out flask. It will also be expensive since those +7 weapons with 110%+ inc elemental damage and a low enough strength requirement that you can reasonably socket all damage soul cores are currently listed at 20d+ before you try to corrupt them for the third socket you need to max out your damage. (The soul cores provide 30% inc elemental damage each). So budget a minimum of 62d per weapon, assuming corruption omen stays at 2/3 of a divine. Actual price will vary depending on cost of the particular base you buy (and whether it also has a strength roll) and your rng. Decent ingenuity runs 33d+ depending on exactly what you want.
