PoE 2 On death explosions need tuning or removal

You do know they all make a sound, have a pretty substantial aura about them and very few mobs produce after-death effects...You know you all could just see and remember what does it and do what the rest of us who don't die from after-death effects do right? Its called moving out of the way


Nah they don't actually all make sounds, and nah they're not actually all visible in the current state of layering. GGG has already removed one from the game due to the visual layering & said they need to work on it. Maybe explain to them that they're wrong?

Have you even played in a group with multiple spell casters and AOE?

Visual soup is an issue right now.

GGG - please listen, please continue to work on and fix these issues.

I think they should remove them if we only get one portal. Or add the portals back. When 80% of the deaths are to things we can't see or control that is saying something.
Yeah, I'm running Raxx's Minion Infernalist Witch and it's impossible to see which enemy is going to one-tap me in the chaos of fire and explosions everywhere. A sound popping off is a good idea if the damage isn't gonna be nerfed – I imagine it sounding like a tea kettle whistling lol.
+1 for tuning them down, it's my main death reason
coprse explosion is just physical version of fire/cold/lightning explosions in the game. the difference is corpse explosion being instant. there is no time for reaction which kills whole premises of poe2. it should be timed as its elemental counterparts so we can have reaction time. random instant explosions which can kill you one-shot without any warning is f'ing bs.

On Death Effects are just like being stuck in traffic 24/7 because every few meters some cars are just exploding. You can either ignore it and die or move at stop and go for all eternity.
You don't need to be melee for this to be a problem.
I just died to an instant On Death effect and I have a minion build. Yet, this rare just kept sprinting at me the whole time. It died fast but that didn't help, the moment it died, I died. There was no warning or time delay.
I've got 1290 HP, 806 mana acting as additional HP, 1696 ES and 1620 armour. I've also got Grimm Feast, but I can't tell how much extra ES I had.
This was a tier 11 map and it was an instant death.

I'm tired of dying out of nowhere.
sometimes i die to some random ground effect, its really badly telegraphed on screen. literally saw nothing on the ground and to be safe, i waited 3 sec. after 3 sec i went to pick up and item and got one shot by who knows what. no mobs around... now im a bit afraid of everything on the map. insta-death feels just around the corner for every step taken.
+1 for removing on-death effects completely. I don't think it is possible to make them visible enough with all the stuff that is going on the maps, especially high-tier ones, with breaches, delirium, or during rituals.
