PoE 2 On death explosions need tuning or removal

Alright i'll say it: the only reason i quit the game multiple times a day is stupid on deaths effects. Like not even Corpse Explosion, there seem to be less of them? Straight up too much bullshit. Everytime you kill something, you have to roll out. Might as well clear the whole map and then loot too.

Which ones are the worst?

1) Something ice related kills me often. Is it a corpse explosion?? I dont know cause there is no animation on my screen, and trust me i am looking for that bs.

2) A lot of mobs leave a aoe of fire/cold/lightning on death. Thing is, is closed maps like crypt, sometimes you end up in the middle of 20 aoes, and you try to roll to a safespot that you cant reach. Or just choose a spot where there is only 1 or 2 aoes cause thats better than 10. And i'm surprised these kill me liek half of the time. I have 4k life with 78 res are you kidding me.

Especially if there is a rare in the pack and he survived, cause now he is raining thunder on you too, good luck.


I mean as melee, AOEs are too much, on death and not on death too. Like if you dont one shot a rare (especially when they re duplicate), things got much more complex now. Just cut half of them and game will be more fun.

Also, why did you pick the worst mods and effets from PoE1? I'd have soul eater over the lightning homeless man chasing me any day of the week. On a rare occurence, it's fine, but bro you have multiple of them each map. Ritual is the most rippy content cause of that.

Cut at least 3/4 of these:
- Lightning NYC man
- Lightning orb (also dodging them once, ok, but why they keep spawning????)
- Mana siphon aura: idk its the worst thing on earth, whoever designed that and decided to keep that too didnt play enough or is a cbt enjoyer

Also:
- Anchor: rare, but there is no seing that, the indicator is too thin
Agree 100% - or they can make them fill the screen so range can experience the stupidity as well.

I hate the spoilsport explosions - they suck rocks.

About half the bosses I encounter explode... it is so common that I am surprised when it doesn't happen.


It is pure BS and should be removed.

Is it just me or the latest patch didn't change anything about that, including minions detonating corpses from screens away ?

As with EVERYTHING they do... its all punishment. I dont understand why anyone would want to play a game of constant one shot punishment. None of these things should be set to numbers that one shot in the first place. They often spawn packs of mobs and then add explosions at death. Common mobs are one shotting because of an affix. Yet we MUST boost out waystones just to get enough to play. CONSTANTLY punishing players. They dont even have half the game developed and yet they spend a lot of time making sure to punish people for playing during early access while things are buggy and not ready. Not sure how they think people will experiment with builds to find what works and what needs rework when people cant play or spend half their time chasing waystones.

My belief is that these mobs are using 'magic' to cast spells and use abilities. Why do many of these things keep going upon death. Purple floating balls follow you around. Who is controlling it? What source is feeding these magic balls of instant death and why are there three of them. Apparently one instant death ball following you around is not enough. They need three of them. At no point does it make sense
This game has conditioned me to wait 5 seconds before moving after killing ANYTHING. Fun mechanic >.>
