How to understand what map has which biome?
" Agree. We need an explanation of how it works in the game. Some notes on the map about the biome will be nice. |

Seepage can spawn on grass, swamp, forest. this node has trees and light grass. it also has dark grass. it also has water patches indicating its swamp. its also covered by corruption making it fucking IMPOSSIBLE to even glean what this could be. given that we know that the passive shifts the weights... running it could greif you or buff you, you have no way of knowing. awesome. Holy shit can we PLEASE get a fucking biome tag on the map node? why would you even make this atlas passive with out a tag. even trying to engage with the atlas map with this on is extremely frustrating due to how insanely poor the proc gen is at deliniating biomes, sometimes you get a biome appearing between two nodes of separate biomes. its not tiled, its not clear, it's just so janky and patchy. it was never designed with this node in mind Last edited by kaydiechii#4349 on Jan 6, 2025, 2:58:17 PM

+1 for being able to see biome types on hover over on a map.

There is a table on the wiki listing possible biomes for each map. It is unfinished though.
https://www.poe2wiki.net/wiki/Map Something like this should be displayed in game on the map itself. There should be no need to leave the game. |

" Hear me out. Get a small inflatable pool, like 2 meters in diameter. Pick a magic marker and draw sections on the bottom. "water", "desert", "forest", "grass" and so on.. And now comes the interesting part. You get a live chicken, you chop chop its head, and throw it in the basin. It starts running, and wherever it lands - that is the current map biome. It works better than GGG's map. (Well, maybe not better, but just as accurate) Do not thank me. |
