Path of Exile 2: Upcoming Changes and Improvements

So are the thorns nodes on the skill tree getting replaced with something viable for the classes. Since you wont listen to the community and remove honor like everyone wants, can you please change these nodes to something useful for the classes. I wanted to run a thorns build as something different, but you've designed the game in a way to make your other design options irrelevant...

No one likes honor and it shouldn't be in the game. Don't know why it's so hard to understand.

It's not good design at all to have nodes or a mechanic you can spec into, that isn't even viable for the content. If you are a merc or Warrior you basically have a smaller tree than the other classes because of the useless nodes. Lazy development and oversight.
Just went back into Trials.

Need to buff token drops so we can actually do them again. Instead of the game saying we can, when it knows we cant.

Still frustrating for melee even after the 'buffs'.

But its ok, Im a new player to the franchise an so far testing out your game is frustrating as all get out anyway.

Just remove honour.......I have HP for a reason.

Very nice changes, but not done yet. Keep em coming please and thanks for listening.
Melee builds are useless.
I want to fight head-on.
Long-distance evasion games aren't fun.

if you hate the caster so much and hate spells in general why creat them ?
like what in hell was in your mind keep nerfing mana and casting to the ground
is it your normal now to cast a spell every 1 hour ?
so bad game design and shitty game

I cannot understand either. It's like they want the only caster in existance to be stormweaver. They want arcane surge with increase effect to be the only way to sustain mana.

you don't decide what you want to play in poe 2, that was a poe 1 thing

in poe 2, we are only allowed to play the builds that are envisioned by the devs

and their imagination doesnt go far

on top of that, they're blatantly lying on these patch notes, like they did in poe 1 patch notes

A nerf to the damage over time component on very high levels of Tornado and Vine Arrow. These were never intended to be dealing damage themselves, but more so act as a way for other skills to propagate damage.

how is it not intended to deal damage? vine arrow is basically toxic rain, and its damage in poe 1 is good enough to clear everything in the game. if it's not intended to deal damage, why does it have 760k base dps at level 40 while spells like comet have 12,5k per hit at level 40? what is it even supposed to do if it's not meant to deal damage? either you're lying to make up for your mistake, which is that abomination of a scaling formula, or things don't go through QA in your game. and the worst of all, you're obviously not playing your own game

Great changes, but good god this comment section is cancer.

I am baffled at the level of toxicity over the smallest things, people complaining about increase to spirit cost of arsonist as if it's the death of minion builds.. I just don't know what to say anymore. In that case, it is certainly a much bigger problem that there aren't parity between the spirit cost of minions, than the fact that you have to get slightly more spirit to summon your arsonists now than you did before, is it not? if not, you are clearly missing the forest for the trees here.

Also saw someone say Galvanic Shards have been nerfed, yeah it's been nerfed for group play. Do people even read or comprehend the changes made? because it really doesn't sound like it.

We asked for cheaper respecs, we got cheaper respecs.

We said maps were too hard and the minus res was ridiculous, they removed the minus res from maps and generally made maps less punishing.

Melee said trial of Sekhema was too difficult and frustrating, they specifically made it easier for melee and nerfed the boss in several ways.

And i could go on.

They've listened and they've made appropriate and fair changes. Should the cheaper respecs have gone in with the first round of nerfs? Sure but hindsight is 20/20.

I am disappointed in people's inability to be a little bit appreciative for what GGG is doing, which is listening to us and implementing changes that we want.
when people get what they want they complain about something new or they shut up because they are satisfied so forum posts have a massive negativity bias
Cassia supremacy
So instead of addressing the difficulty of the Trial of Sekhemas for every play style you simply forced everyone to play in close range in order to try saving more honour? What a nice change! Now I have to run straight to mobs as a summoner, because honour is a cancer even for range classes.

Also, it seems that you don't play your game at all. Minions are always stuck behind each other out of attack range in narrow corridors of the third floor in the trial because someone decided that they should not have phasing. So out of 7 minions, 2-3 are actually attacking in 50% of rooms. AND they trigger traps which do damage in AOE making me lose honour uncontrollably each time I go to the gauntlet room. Play this mess yourselves, I'm out.

I Just hope nerf to electricute is not cuz of empyrian group using it. Generally nerfs to group play ends bad for single players cuz inthe end u cannot nerf groups without destroying game for ppl who play solo.

For sure , ppl always scream "broken , look at the ppl who do this for a living" but thats OK as long as GGG dont take this to heart , if Empy and the other pros cannot break the game , we solo normal players will have a nightmare playing.

Every league the pros farm mageblood and nimis in 2-3 days and just go from there , while this is my league entire wealth usually , but I can do all content and enjoy the game with a broken build by the mid/end of the league.

TLDR - the game is meant to get broken by the player base , otherwise there is no point in leagues and restarts , If I cant push to the end and break the game , no need to restart.
