Also, when it brings this up after a certain boss fight which I won't mention, it literally says use the portal IN TOWN, not the portal by the waypoint. So I clicked on the portal to check and see if it'd zone me back to town rather than using the waypoint and IT STARTED CRUEL DIFFICULTY without ANY Effing prompt that asks if you're sure you want to start cruel difficulty!!!!

you can transport back to any Act you want normal or Cruel, what are you talking about.
It is amazing that people are posting, with out waiting to see the FULL Patch notes. This post was only a teaser of the patch notes. Some highlights.

The Arsonists nerf is kind of a stretch tbh. Its not like the witch is stronger than the other characters (kinda weaker if we consider the problems with minions and the increased clearing time). Perhaps boosting the other minons (mages etc..) is a better option. Also fixing the AI would be fantastic.
Some good stuff here. I was hoping for a lot more considering this is all of the planned changes - with no ETA.

Two critical things that should be implemented ASAP are fixing maps only giving one attempt and admitting that the honor system is a failure and completely removing it.
Really wish we could get some options to further decrease graphics, like turning off Grass. Even without killing anything my dynamic resolution goes brrr on grass maps because those little shits are so detailed.
Minions really aren't in a good place right now.

They despawn when you get five feet from them. They get stuck in doorways and hallways and can't engage enemies (this is true even of ranged minions, but melee minions suffer the most). They are slower to engage than they should be, often trailing behind you. You're forced to build Spirit just to have them at any reasonable number - which means dedicating equipment lines and sometimes using otherwise subpar uniques.

Most minion players are using SRS right now because they can summon them on a dime, directly at a target, and they phase through obstacles. They aren't suffering a lot of the same problems other minions are, but benefit from building for minion damage.

Arsonists pair best with them, being both fire aligned and there currently being no minion elemental conversion options in the game.

That's literally it. That's why people use arsonists. It's why *everyone* settles on arsonists. Because they're ranged, and pair well with SRS.

It's not even about Infernalist, because Infernalist is barely supportive of minion builds and the Spirit passive could apply to any minions. You can be Gemling or Titan or flippin' Chronomancer - whatever. You settle on SRS and Arsonists for minions.

I'm not thrilled about Arsonists. They're not great - they have their own problems. Their projectiles are lobbed and frequently fly over the heads of moving enemies, for example. I'd love to use ice or lightning mages, I would, but they *aren't* fire and still suffer from all of the same basic problems minions have at the moment.

The nerf is minor but unjustified in the game as it is.

A lot of the problems minions have in general, though, can and should be fixed, and more build variety thus supported. The addition of spectres will also help, whenever they turn up.

Thank you for the game. It is quite a change of pace from my PoE 1 habbits, gess I do have to "get gud", but so far has been a blast.

Looking foward to Shadow. If the moveset is close to Balbala, it should be really nice to play.
