We need WASD movement for PoE 1 now too.
The only thing holding me back from playing POE 1 is the missing WASD-movement, it feels so nice in POE 2.
Would be great to be able to choose :) |

No thank you.
We tested it extensively

it could break the game if it wasnt coded with the idea in mind.
d2r brought wasd and now you can explore full maps with an item on your cursor and the mobs dont see you past the original screen. |

Nah, thanks, but no thanks.
I'm good on my mouse click moves, so I'm not really looking for WASD in isometric games. I'm not a fan, to be honest. If they do decide to throw it in, which I'm pretty sure they won't, they should make it optional. It'd mess with the game's balance, and we'd be the ones stuck with the mess. The quality of life for us, old poe players, shouldn't take a hit. |

" Kind of a crazy take. How would YOUR qol go DOWN if they implement an extra option? |
|
WASD will transform the game into Back Running Simulator and everything will be balanced around that mechanics.
|
|
" They wouldn't change the balance because they obviously wouldn't let you move while casting like in poe2. That would be a huge change. |
|
" My dude, Poe 1 and Poe 2 are not so different as to justify both existing simultaneously, Poe 1 is going the way of the dodo. I suspect they will keep it alive through early access and then pull the plug on it. |
|
" PoE 2's mouse click movements feel sluggish and suboptimal. I think this is because they designed their game around WASD. I don't want PoE to turn into that. |
|
" Exactly that! |
