6 link skill on items (implicit skills)

Does anybody know how to get a 6 link skill item?
EX: SKELETAL WARRIOR MINION on RATTLING SCEPTRE? I've been searching google, looking up on forum, asking in game but NOTHING! Does anybody know WHAT ARE THE PREREQUISITES for a 6 link skill on item? Does the item level need to surpass a specific amount? Does the INT of the char need to surpass a specific amount? Does the character level need to surpass a specific amount? Tied to player level for ascendency skills, im guessing for items its tied to Ilvl? For instance I got 6 link on my infernal dog at 90. The lvl 72 staff I have has always just had 5 link even going past 90.
I have a scepter that is 5 linked, and its been 5 linked even now that im 92, so I am thinking its item level based, but I have no idea what the breakpoints are. Last edited by BossOfThisGym#2062 on Dec 19, 2024, 11:35:59 AM

I'm specifically talking about items, not ascendancy skills.
Is your 6 link item level 90 required or ilvl 90 (that seems impossible, i haven't seen any ilvl 85 or higher items anywhere not even the market)? This is why i'm trying to figure it out, because there's no clear info regarding this anywhere, it's like voodoo. |

Tied to iLvl.
iLvl 39 staff has 3 link iLvl 80 has 5 link Not sure if they can be 6 link but if i find an iLvl 84 ill let you know. |

6 Linked Items are only from ilvl 90+

Do skills need to be level 20 to be 6-link? I don't think that's true. Links on implicit skills are tied to ilvl so until either a dev speaks, we see an iLvl 90 item or see a 6-link <iLvl 90 we won't know.
