12 public parties.. none have beat act 2 boss
i have joined 12 different groups now.
with various team comps, all in the level 30s a few near 40 people. even i am near level 40 now every single group have failed to beat this guy,. several of my groups have made multiple attempts before people gave up and dropped couple of issues.. 1: almost no downtime to revive anyone. constant boss spam + zombie rush and huge aoeas means really no chance to revive anyone 2: no real way to refill flasks, the zombie rush dont cut it. 3: people just dont have the damage/gear sustain this early for this sort of fight Last edited by BrainVs#6980 on Dec 22, 2024, 11:47:15 AM Last bumped on Dec 22, 2024, 2:31:26 PM

I see a pattern here...

The story in PoE2 is the easiest ever, all bosses are first try or second try, it's just the length that's annoying.
That may sound mean, but “get better”. Use the trade side and buy a 75%+ spell damage staff for only 1 orb as a sorcerer, for example. I did the same, I got all my gear from the trade website for one orb each and after that the game was basically on easy mode (Story-Line). |

" nice try but i have passed this boss on a different play thru by all means show me a video of u soloing this boss on a ssf build from scratch on twitch.. i'll wait |
|
" that is definitely a build specific thing. i oneshot most bosses on my first char, which was a ranger. shield + mace warrior took quite a few tries on some bosses, even if i knew the patterns well. |
|
" it definitely is doable, just a build thing. it took ages, but this was one of the fights i managed to one-shot on my shield titan. i never traded in poe 2, so this is basically ssf |
|
" What do you mean by "oneshot?" I genuinely do not believe you've found a build that does 100,000 damage per hit. |
|
" as in first try without knowing the boss patterns, should have phrased it differently |

I had good luck with the A2 boss BUT I was able to buy decent gear [huge upgrades over what I had] for a pittance. No way I'd be able to get by as easily now.
Note: I was playing melee, had the best move speed boots I could buy, and had upgraded my weapon to the best I could buy. I, incorrectly?, invested in %armour and regen on the tree and on gear. I think I may also have had an auto recharging flask setup with increased recovery. I was able to outlast the boss in A2. I could stay relatively close so it was a little easier to dodge some slams, I could have a bleed totem for some damage uptime, and if you can tank a few "basic attacks" you might have enough time to set up some decent DoT / combo / whatever yourself. Summary: Get the best damage you can, get enough mitigation to survive any one ability with enough life left over, have enough recovery to "erase" the mistake of getting hit. Chip away at boss until they're no more. Hope that helps some. |

" "One-shot" typically means that they defeated the boss on the first try with no deaths. As for the Act 2 boss, I've completed it on both a Ranger and a Witch, and I've got a second Witch that should be tackling it soon enough. I think both characters died once. Zero trading. |
