Xp loss makes the game unplayable
Totally agree that the XP loss on death is too steep considering how defensive stats get utterly left behind offensive ones.

I'm not completely against the XP loss. I have played enough games where this happened that I'm kind of used to it (I wouldn't want it, but I can still play). However, the way it's implemented is lazy.
IMHO, the penalty should be to only lose the XP gained on the map/content we die on. We already lost the map, the atlas bonuses and any loot that was dropped when we died (and if you were killed in a breach I assume it was a lot). A flat 10-15% makes zero sense, particularly given the many ways one can die (including GGG's poor design choices). It's also very far from "we want to make the game more appealing to casual gamers", as this and other threads also suggest. |
