Unacceptable Customer Service and Account Block

Hello fellow Exiles,

I am writing this post out of sheer frustration and disappointment with the customer service provided by Path of Exile (PoE). My account has been unjustly blocked, and despite numerous attempts to contact support, I have received no response, not even an acknowledgment with a ticket number.


It all started when I noticed several unauthorized charges on my account. Naturally, I reached out to PoE support to resolve this issue. However, my emails seemed to vanish into a black hole. No replies, no ticket numbers, nothing. It felt like my concerns were being completely ignored.

Frustrated with the lack of response from PoE, I decided to contact PayPal to report the possible abuse. Unlike PoE, PayPal’s customer service was swift and efficient. They returned my money within minutes. However, within an hour of getting my refund, I was kicked out of the game, and my account was blocked.

This is where it gets absurd. Instead of addressing the issue of unauthorized charges, PoE decided to block my account. It seems like their strategy is to charge extra money, ignore support tickets, and then block the customer when they seek refunds. This is not only unethical but also a terrible way to treat loyal players.

The most infuriating part is the complete lack of communication from PoE support. I have sent multiple emails, yet I haven’t received a single response or even a ticket number. This level of customer service is unacceptable for any company, let alone one that prides itself on its community

I urge PoE to address this issue immediately. At the very least, provide a ticket number or some form of acknowledgment that my complaint has been received. Ignoring customers and blocking accounts without explanation is not the way to handle disputes.

To all fellow players, be cautious with your transactions and keep a close eye on your accounts. If you face similar issues, don’t hesitate to report them to your payment provider. And to PoE, it’s high time you improve your customer service and treat your players with the respect they deserve.

We're all trying to get support to reply. This is really frustating...
+1 i feel ya m8, there is a hackwave atm and there is an obvious flaw in GGGs security or a data breach, when providing a service they need to ensure that customers can get support, not wait close to a month for any assistance.
Yep, same exact issue happened to me, same outcome.

Was yours the 4 $30 unauthorized transactions?

Paypal within minutes refunded the transactions. - I'm guessing because this is a known issue that's been happening frequently.

Xsolla/Xdolla whatever they're called, did not dispute it either. Which leads me to believe that they also know of this issue happening frequently.

I don't care about their game, but I do take my financial security quite seriously.

This is a clown company that has zero customer service and does not value or care about their paying customers.

It's 2024/2025 and their support system is just "send us an email".
Same thing for me, 4 charges of $30 for PoE2 early access keys.

Punishing victims and enabling thieves seems to be their company policy, and they have a lot of work to do before I'll consider supporting them again.

Then you are causing your own problem, each subsequent email removes your ticket from the queue and updates it with whatever you added to it and places it in the back of the queue each time you email them.

You are in a queue, you are not special you will wait just like everyone else.

Also what you are doing is forcing GGG though no fault of theirs to take a hit on money you are refunding, no company tolerates that unless it is through official means, you go through them, not paypal or your credit card issuer.

Wellcome to 2024 a sorry 2025. Any Normal ticketing system should provide you with a number or at least some response .

It's very stupid queue since every normal queue in support systems are based on 1st open date and not last respince. Again welcome to 2025

No fault of theirs is a pretty ridiculous thing to say. There are things GGG could've done to help prevent this, like have optional MFA. There are things GGG could've done to make their response time not be 2+ weeks, like having an actual ticket system so people know their issue is even being considered, or hiring people to support their huge game launch.

I won't be surprised if they also not reading forums . There is mb 60 posts about the same
