My experience with Path of Exile 2 so far
Anyway we are not even 1 month into early access, lets hope GGG can come up with solution that will make both sides happy:).
Happy new year, may your enemies be challenging and loot satisfying :) |

I keep saying it. I'm not saying either game needs to be strictly easier. For PoE 1 I'm saying there needs to be more build variety. More skills should be usable. For PoE 2 I'm saying that bumping up the damage on both sides would make the game more satisfying and less tedious. That isn't making the game strictly easier.
Also PoE 1 also does incentivize more difficult content with more loot. It's just not called a difficulty option. It's just the harder content in the game. It's progression. T17 maps and uber bosses. Normal pinnacle boss loot is almost worthless, but uber pinnacle boss loot is very valuable. And when comparing T16 loot to T17 loot it's night and day. Also when you say that you would play hard regardless. You do remember that a huge portion of the community plays mostly for big loot explosions right? It wouldn't be healthy for the game regardless of if there are people who would still choose to play the harder mode. There is one case where I'm simply calling for more ease is the 2nd act final boss. PoE has league progress resets. Having to fight that boss at the start of each league, with every new character and build I decide to try... I'm not excited about the prospect. The boss is insanely difficult in addition to being tedious. I think difficult content should be end heavy. Campaign bosses should be easier to beat and when you progress further into endgame should you encounter more difficult encounters as you have your build more or less completed. |
