GGG, Be Transparent: What’s Next for PoE 1
" Not to mention the oft-touted-as-amazing daily poe1 news. Putting aside the inevitable poe 2 frother response of 'so what i got mine', it does feel disappointing to bait-and-switch-fund a game I knew I wasn't going to like initially and maybe even once polished for years. |

If they haven't said anything yet it's because they plan to leave POE 1 in maintenance while they allocate all resources to POE 2. I certainly can't go back to POE 1, I love POE 2.

+1. I've been playing PoE1 still but trading is absolutely terrible at this point. Even buying things like essences on Faustus are difficult as nobody is selling for any currency I pick.
*Never forgetting how good this game looked at 32:9 instead of 1/3 of my screen being black bars.*

" Actually, you don’t seem to know much about PoE 1. Looking at your profile, it’s clear you’ve never played it. If you enjoy PoE 2, that’s great—really. However, you can’t make statements like, “can't even play it without CONSTANT dripfeed of new distractions every few months.” because for many of us, we have a ton of hours played, I personally have over 7,000 hours in PoE 1, so I welcome new content to keep the experience fresh—be it new mechanics, a revamped economy, or balance changes to shake up the meta. As for your claim that “It's doing better than poe1 already in early access.” that’s not entirely accurate. Sure, PoE 2 saw a surge in popularity due to the hype, but that initial spike doesn’t necessarily reflect long-term success. If a new PoE 1 league were launched right now, PoE 2 could quickly become a ghost town. The fact is, PoE 2 is a new release that many people are curious to try, but it hasn’t resonated with everyone. If you check the player charts, you’ll see that PoE 2 has already lost a significant portion of its audience within just a month. Finally, regarding your statement that “The game is so doomed it's not even funny.” I have to disagree. If that were true, why are so many of us eagerly anticipating a new PoE 1 league? And by the way you are talking about something that you have not made the effort to test. |

" > PoE 1 got 12 years of content to play around with > nobody is playing if there's no update Oh yeah , that's a winning recipe here . ICE BELL RINGER ~ Endgame Farming ~ Pinnacle Eraser ~ Gamepad Gameplay ~ Low Budget ~ 0.1.1 Version

" You all spent the last decade claiming PoE was the best Arpg evar . Reality is the game systematically died by going into Concord numbers two weeks after each update , meanwhile people have been playing update-less games like D2 as it is for the last 25 years . So either PoE has never been the better system for it to die if you don't get some novelty every 3 months , either you got the expectations of a Live Service gamer and should move to some chinese MMO that feed you new stuff to do every month . " Path of Exile is a live-service game. Regular updates, new support packs, and cosmetics—doesn’t that fit the definition of a live-service game? They generate revenue through new leagues. Your argument doesn’t hold up at all. I can keep playing it occasionally, but not all the time if there’s nothing new and you can’t argue against that. For example, as you mentioned, even fans of Diablo 2 can’t play it all the time because there’s nothing new. They play it occasionally because they love it, but they can’t spam it without fresh content. The live-service content is one of the things that made PoE 1 so awesome. |
