Worked for me too after a couple of attempts. Open another game -> reload Poe 2 -> set filter in character select is what it took. I don't think your account gets loaded until that point and for some reason it kept getting set to default. Trying to change it in game didn't work for me and the reload button doesn't seem to function.

Closing and switching to another game didn't work for me.

Is there a setting on PlayStation maybe. I believe mine is private. This method not working for me. Trying to load neversink filters. Worked for Poe 1.

Ok got it. I went into poe1. Activated any loot filter there. Switched back to poe2 and know it works.

I had to do it a few times but restarting the app, as suggested above, worked eventually.
