Easy.

One thing?

N/A. I am still looking. TBD.

The extreme levels of customization and choice. If two people make the same build without a guide, it can still look VERY different.

I also enjoyed the difficulty with what I felt was a reasonable safety net: ability to spam bosses to learn in campaign and 6 portals in maps.

I know that's two things. Whoops.

They said with significantly more than one supporter pack.
The Atlas progression, from Tier 1 Maps to Uber Pinnacle content, along with the Atlas Passive Tree progression and the ability to target farm specific things in SSF is just awesome.

Nah, there was a whole group of people who wanted an alternative version to the game that was just delve and only delve. You're not alone on that point at all.
It´s the crafting system. I played a lot of poe2 lately and my god do i miss deterministic crafting. I never had a poe1 league with several 90+ chars not wearing a single self crafted item.
When I started A3 Piety on merc was the end boss.

I remember feeling like it was just a d2 ripoff that would be sued into oblivion, but it was still better than d3. Then I got to Lunaris level 2.

I was weirded out by the water so I zoomed in. I realized it was red...and thicker than water. The entire unwalkable area was...flowing blood. A lot of it. I was kinda creeped out but kept going.

After you ascend the last stair case, there's just carts. Carts and carts full of bodies. I remember zooming in thinking those aren't really bodies...damn. They're bodies.

That's the only time a video game has made me feel physically sick. I had to take a five minute break and get some water. Every time I enter level 2 Lunaris, I think back to that moment. Best level, best video game ever. Can't wait for what's ahead!
In POE 1, currency drops is not hard to come by. I love that.

In POE 2 - forget it. You get maybe 1 regal orb for an hour or so.
Plus you always get items that are not for your class and on a level that is a lot lower than your current state so it's basically useless for your current character.

POE 1 is still fun to play.
We just can't overcome the mentality that it's an old game so therefore we should go for the latest.
