Is this what you meant by the new economy GGG?
" I'd rather let all the idiots find all the exploits now and have them fixed when the game launches for real. All EA stuff goes to the irrelevant EA Standard anyways so it doesn't matter one bit. |
|
" when it's good it's amazing. easily one of the best things about PoE. |
|
" This! This is EA. It's beta. It's a temporary test. If anyone expected a "clean" economy, they were clearly misguided. If this happens during a league? Go havoc. Go crazy. Shout from your lunges. Make them reset the league. But now? Let them learn, find the weak spots and make it better. Sometimes, just sometimes, you should really consider adapting to the world, instead of demanding that the world adapts to you.

" did that actually happen tho? what was the mechanic? i heard that people were able to restart the instance and farm the boss again and again to get the drops? is that right? cause if thats what was happening that is not duping, that is a bit of jank that was exploited to mass farm a boss. thats a very different thing to actually being able to dupe a clone of an item. so was it actual duping? or were people just able to reset the area and farm the boss repeatedly? I love all you people on the forums, we can disagree but still be friends and respect each other :)

" ea is about setting the standards for an official launch. this is still a launch though, and even Jonathan calls it a league. |
|
" yeah any time there was a major exploit in an actual live poe1 league the people who abused it were dealt with very harshly. theres 40 mirrors for sale in the league right now. considering were over a month into a league with more than double the population of any previous poe league thats not a lot of mirrors? i dont rly see that the price drop is being driven by a flood of them on the market which would be how a dupe would drop the price. it would seem more like market manipulation from one of the organised cabals at a glance, but rly hard to know either way i guess. We all watched them do it. It is a known thing, not up for debate. It happened. GGG knows. They fixed it in :
0.1.0e Hotfix 5 The process was to get a group together, one person speeds through using the relic guaranteeing Temporalis (Last Flame Incense Relic). They then win, temporalis drops, they pick it up, trade it, force crash, login, loot again, pass to the next, force crash, loot again repeat. They could do this as long as they had time to do it. There was a few other steps instance related, but it is not important. It happened. We all knew it happened. We complained (see my older posts if you want) and they fixed it. It took some time though and the people that I saw bragging about doing it are still chatting away in global 1 and such to this very moment with no discipline. I was a turbo skeptic until the patch and I saw more proof. Last edited by Rotgarg#0212 on Jan 19, 2025, 4:05:33 PM

" You say its not up for debate...and then proceed to describe it incorrectly. No.....this was not the process lol. The process was simply that one could open as many instances to the final fight as they wanted. There was no crashing involved. You simply opened 20+ instances and finished as many as you could within the timeframe before they disappeared. So with 1 flame, one could realistically get 10+ temporalis for themselves. No closing, no crashing, no trading, none of that crap. You are mixing up two very different scenarios into one: the crashing was ONLY done for the vaal orb abuse. Didn't GGG actually explain this directly in their interview? However, I would still consider this a form of "duping" as it was very clearly not intended to work that way. " Close but not quite correct. You can leave the trial and any given moment, which includes just before the bossroom. Then you can create new instances by ctrl-clicking the waypoint, same way we always have in PoE1. And then you can enter those new instances, each containing a trial right before the final bossroom and you get to kill said boss many times over, depending on how many instances you have and how fast you can kill it. Eventually Temporalis will drop. So technically there was no duping involved whatsoever. Is this intended? Almost guaranteed not. Is it against the ToS? Doubt it but dont know for sure. To me this sounds like an oversight on GGGs end, they didnt see this coming and they will have to prevent this from happening once the game is live. To clarify: This is hearsay and I dont know for sure if this is exactly how it went down but it sounds plausible enough to me. Take it for what its worth. " They used The Last Flame Incense Relic. It was guaranteed. The fact you do not know this step and assumed people farmed it is hilarious. I am pretty sure you are the one that does not know the process. Edit: WOW I did not mean to come off sounding this rude, sorry if I was offensive, I reread my posts outloud. I am not trying to be mean. Sorry! Last edited by Rotgarg#0212 on Jan 19, 2025, 4:28:59 PM
