SOLUTION for the hyperinflated Divine Orb issue and Rarity of Items Issue
" Well yea thats why I said the removal of rarity on gear would need to be put on waystones, tablets, towers etc so we can still have the chance to get more loot but not by putting rarity of items on gear, effectively making meta builds for loot as now observed. A lot of players start to play the same way, build the same gear, take the same class and build just to maximise loot. |

1 month and they will announce probably a reset for the early access with the 6 new characters.

" Once you get good enough, and start getting those high-end items, you will start understanding the value of the divines, and you will stop writing stuff like that. Of course you should not divine those items, that have about the same value as the orb itself. So I can totally see how you can use it "for trading" alone. (The same way a human from the early ages would use precision tools to crack open walnuts, and that is it.) The truth however, is far far away from it. |

" Your optimism disturbs me. |

" He is not wrong for the first part though, i don't know why people keep saying the new league will be released in March, following 3-4 months like they do in poe1. This is a brand new game under EA, they couldn't do changes for 3 weeks due to holiday, which led the game in weird situations like this one. Exploits happened, dupes happened, crazy builds happened, the last interview they said they will be saving balance and other important things to new league launch. This means that league launch is soon, they never stated that it's months away, Jonathan said very soon. 6 new characters part tho lmao, druid and huntress most likely like they stated before EA release.
" I think the most finished class that's ready to ship to live servers right now is huntress. All of the inactive spear skill assets seem farther in development than other types. My source: https://poe2db.tw/us/Gem#UnknownGem |

" Not sure I agree here. For SSF players, for example, this really isn't an issue at all, and I would put issues with Trials and the entire Warrior archetype well above this in terms of urgency/priority. That said... " ... this is a pretty good idea, whether you're trading or not. +1. The artist formerly known as Waitubold. Taking the Lord's name in vain since birth, basically.

I believe druid is closer than huntress because they wanted to include druid in EA launch but they decided to polish that class a bit more. I think they both going to be added at the same time with next league launch. Tbh the next update going to be the new league update in my opinion, they stated that they need a lot of new content to release so that people actually have meaning to come back and play, therefore instead of releasing an another big update like the last one, they will cook a big patch for new league launch next. I expect it way sooner than others stated here.
" yeah if you had a stronger sink for divines they would cost way more exalts each than they do now. i think the argument being made is that the gear itself would cost less divines? that divines are inflating and hence their purchasing power for gear is decreasing? thing is the gear is inflating too? gear is not leaving the economy either just like the divines. so what are the mechanisms here? is the exact same piece of gear really getting more expensive pretty much across the board constantly? is that actually happening? or is it just really good high end gear is getting more expensive while average gear is becoming worthless? one thing that happens as a league moves along is that people just dont give a shit about lower amounts of currency, thats definitely a thing in poe1. day 1 someone will trade you for 1 chaos, day 5 that persons minimum sales tab is 5c, day 25 the lowest they will take time to trade for is 50 chaos. they just dont care, they have all the gear they really need, 5c is meaningless to them, its relatively late in the league cycle. people actually giving a shit breaks down over time which has economic consequences. this is a mechanism by which a sort of price inflation does happen as leagues move along but is somewhat outside of sinks and supplies to some extent. I love all you people on the forums, we can disagree but still be friends and respect each other :) Last edited by Snorkle_uk#0761 on Jan 22, 2025, 5:05:21 AM

Generally I would remove trade...it is really bad . Why? Minority (those who plays 24h/day) make inflation.
How about casual player? You do not care? |
