They would not have made Towers the way they are, if they knew what they were doing.
They would not have made continent sized maze maps with hiding rares if they knew what they are doing.
The Augury levers ... what the actual F was that? Band aid on it atm - yes.
Levers need to be usable like doors.
They failed on the simplest things. For that reason folk started to question their ability.

I pretty much stopped playing at level 94 cant just log on after work and have a bash as death makes for an unsatisfying experience.

Only by unimaginative people who can't fathom one of the numerous other ways to MEANINGFULLY penalize deaths that don't involve XP loss. You're used to it and it seems normal. That doesn't mean it's good or anything other than objectively cancer-inducing, ultimately. GGG management is stuck in this "I'm inside the box and can't escape it but I don't even realize I'm in a box" thought ideology on this topic, you're far from alone.

Hi there, I have posted this in another thread and I would like to provide my feedback to you here as well.

This game cannot and must not be too easy.

If the game becomes too easy and everybody is able to easily achieve level 100, then the game will die very fast.

There will be nothing for the players to accomplish and nobody will want to play the game and the game will die in no time soon.

Then tell us some of those MEANINGFULLY penalizing death mechanics, don't keep them to yourself.
the xp penalty is unfair and actually harms the game, briefly here is why

it is unfair to punish a player and retroactively remove xp for content they have already successfully completed.
Now imagine if they also retroactively removed all the rewards (drops) earned during that time aswell. its the same logic, that would be fair right?

it stiffles build diversity and experimentation

it promotes one click clear screen builds, so you actually avoid combat, on death effects etc. (see above)

it promotes a play it safe mindset, players obviouly want to avoid death and the penalties (see above)

those screen clear builds mean adding "gotcha" bs mechanics like on death effects to try and kill the player if they get careless

the game is online, things happen that result in deaths that are totally out of the players control.

the game is poorly optimized, fps drops etc; and the performance is abysmal for many, again deaths out of the players control.

that'l do. players that say "well dont die" are insane...theres a whole game mode for that. they are actually saying dont die in a softcore gamemode..just nuts

what is actually wrong with getting to 100 (its still a huge time investment) in a game with leagues that resets so you go again

the whole concept was taken from an older game that was offline, it doesnt really fit with the always online model, reasons above
