As a long time supporter and 32:9 user.

Another game falls down to the "unfair advantage" of the 0.001% of the player base to ruin the fun for the rest.

This decision makes no sense.

Please offer support for 32:9 instead of banning it so we can keep the immersion without hurting the 0.001% tears.

Rollback on this please.
unbelieveable!!!

Guys who get nice monitors to play this game extra immersive getting banned?

where are we?

we support your game and you should support our resolutions.....

It is extremely disappointing to see GGG take this stance that Ultrawide 32:9 resolution provides an "unfair advantage".

Nobody plays 32:9 to gain an unfair advantage, and any advantage is minimal at best.

IF playing at higher resolutions is unfair, why did we ever move away from 480P? Isn't 1080P an unfair advantage? What about 4K resolutions?

Being able to use the latest technological advancements is NOT an "unfair advantage" that should be bannable. Should you be banned for playing with an RTX 5090, since you get smoother gameplay that would prevent you from dying to stutters that a worse computer may get?

It's truly a dumb stance to not support 32:9 when the game already renders 32:9, and then to threaten to ban people if they want to continue to play in 32:9 really displays a lack of simple common sense. Technology always advances, and whoever has the best PC always has a "slight" but not meaningful advantage that nobody even cares. The game is not competitive anyways.
Account-banning people for using mods to play in ultrawide resolutions is a really disappointing and tone-deaf decision by GGG. There are competitive PVP shooters hosting online tournaments for money that not only DON'T take this kind of ridiculous stance, but embrace and officially support ultrawide resolutions.

And this isn't a competitive multiplayer shooter, it's an ARPG with zero PVP elements involved. GGG is refusing to support ultrawide resolutions and banning people who turn to modded support over some silly LADDER RACE? REALLY?

We're in the PC space. Not everything is going to be equal. Some people will struggle to pull 30fps. They will be at a disadvantage compared to someone pulling 240 fps. Some are on controller, some on M&K. Some are playing on tiny monitors, others on giant TV's. Are we going to start banning people with high-end rigs next? Because that's what this is: punishment for people with certain hardware.

Moreover, as a 32:9 OLED owner, I'm now left with three choices:

- Play this game with GIANT black bars on the sides that WILL destroy my monitor over time
- Buy a new monitor just so I can play this game (awesome, thanks)
- Don't play this game

If I had known these were the options I would be faced with back in December, I'd have saved myself the money for the access pack and all the stash tabs. Not officially supporting ultrawide is one thing, but account banning people with but a single warning for the crime of wanting to play on a nice monitor is ridiculous.

SURELY there's a better solution?
Really regretting to supporting this game as an Early Access Supporter now that my 32:9 OLED is banned!!!
Revert this position or implement it yourself. Not supporting 32:9 for ladder is dumb. Just exclude me from the ladder, I don't care about that garbage anyway.
Hey GGG devs, I guess I can go fuck myself because I chose to have 32:9 monitor and now when I try to fix it with a third party mod now it's a problem for you.
No support for 32:9 and finger wagging at players who use the third-party fix is absolutely distasteful.

"Unfair advantage" is another excuse for not allocating resource to implement 32:9 support.

As a long time supporter, this puts me off of continuing to support POE.
I have always been supportive with GGG but logging in today to be able to play the new update and being greeted with a BAN warning gave me a very sour taste.
It's 2025 GGG.. Start supporting 32:9 ffs...
+1

He has right - the explanation is riddiculous, normal player WANT TO USE HES MONITOR WITHOUT BARS!
Ban us - no more money from our pockets. It's simple.

We just want to enjoy a good game - I can understand a case where there is a player who is trying to reach the top of a ranking. But the problem is that 98% of users don't care about something like that and want to play the game a few hours a week.
GGG Be smart or be idiots - it's up to you.

We'd like to remind players that as part of our Terms of Use, it is unacceptable to modify game client files. This includes the use of third party mods that remove black bars in ultrawide resolutions to gain the unfair advantage of an increased field of vision. The use of this mod will result in you not only being disqualified from this race, but also getting your account banned for breaching our Terms of Use.

GGG, are you okay? Is everything alright?

Unfair advantage? Banning for breaching "terms of use"? Who wrote your terms of use?!

You do realize that it's 2025 and people have been using multi monitor setups for decades now? In fact, YOU ALLOWED IT. You, GGG, allowed it. For many years. A decade, in fact. It's only been a few years since you REMOVED SUPPORT FOR SUPER ULTRAWIDE AND MULTI MONITOR SETUP.

It is insane that in the past you let the super ultrawide/multi monitor people have fun in PoE1 for literally a decade with absolutely no issues, but then suddenly removed the option from PoE1 recently and still won't let people in PoE2. All the meanwhile you're claiming ridiculous nonsense like this and threaten to ban people for not obeying you.

Out of touch to say the least. Almost nobody actually cares about this "competitive advantage" outside of your office. And banning people's accounts for getting a full experience with their multi monitor setup is straight up COOKED.

You don't want people modifying the game files? Understandable. I have a perfect solution: RE-ENABLE MULTI MONITOR AND SUPER ULTRAWIDE SETUPS IN PATH OF EXILE 1 AND PATH OF EXILE 2. Re-add the native support that was literally baked into the game engine for a decade that you pointlessly removed.

Then, nobody will have to modify the game files to play on their expensive setup, I know, pretty crazy, right?
