Content Update 0.2.0 -- Path of Exile 2: Dawn of the Hunt

Sweet, now I know I don't have to spend my weekend playing this shit. Enjoy killing your game.

The only issue is FOMO – it pushes us to rush towards the OP build, while the trade system is frustratingly outdated. That’s really the only annoying part of the game.

Now that i think about it, you are spot on.

People that are used to an OP build already plan ahead to rush fast to endgame and exploit trade at an early stage.

So when their build get nerfed they go bonkers
IGN = Morlinus
People are complaining because GGG hasn’t run this like a typical EA (I suspect out of fear of losing players which could happen here anyway). Months ago people were saying to go ahead and adjust what needed to be adjusted; just give people the tools they need to recoup and respec their character. It is EA after all, who cares if respecs are free?

Instead they’ve set a more firm expectation of “this is what we want endgame to be like” by leaving things as they were for months, and blaming players for “not being ok with changing in the middle of a ‘league’” which was never the case.

Until I can run Savannah, Sinking spire, etc with far less performance issues and can actually play endgame on console I’m good. Personally I feel GGG is way too focused on appeasing those that whine about balance and not nearly enough on the glaring performance issues.

Funny seeing people mad that the game isn't about dashing around one shotting screens in .01 seconds animeslop like PoE1 was. They specifically told you this game wasn't supposed to be PoE1. Nerfs are going in the right direction.

At first I was very hyped to play PoE2 again, but reading all the QoL nerf made me very cautious not only about this single league, but for the future of the game at all...

Why making combats feel so clunky with a lot of cooldowns and delays? Curses were already a hassle to use, but adding a 0,5 delay? Damn... Not speaking about Hexblast which is completely dead, I don't know where the game is going from there...

Wanting to slow down the pace is one thing... Wanting to create a soul-like feeling at end-game in an arpg, is another... And what is even the point in that? What is the point in making far end-game more "attractive" to casuals, when they'll barely go up to Pinnacle bosses? (And not just difficulty related, just because of the time they have...) It's just a way to kill the game both for Casuals who'll leave as they leave anyway, but now also for endgame players who'll be bored with so many things that will make the gameplay terrible...

Hope it's just having it untested, but I more think I'll rather watch streams to see rather than playing... Cos it's too much, it's frightening...

if you want Dark Souls pace do implement Dark Souls attribute and scaling system

imagine playing this game on console
Looking forward to playing tonight and seeing how the game goes with the new changes!
It's disrespectful that you still haven't fixed life remnants being inaccessible in many boss fights (even the ones from crits). Ascendancy points should make you more powerful situationally or with a trade off, as has been your philosophy. Bloodmage's upside being non-existent in significant portions of core unavoidable content breaks this philosophy, and you've had months now to fix it. Make life remnants optional, make it a "free ascendancy" passive like the new warrior stuff, or just get rid of it altogether if you aren't willing to fix the glitchy feel. You can also fix it by making all recovery have the ability to overflow life. I don't care. There's so many simple and easy ways to fix it and I can't understand why you would insist on leaving something that feels so glitchy and bad there so that an entire ascendancy can become neglected.

I love how everyone is freaking out about changes to builds that exist

"Many Skills have had their base damage and/or damage growth per level rebalanced. Most of these changes are not specifically mentioned below as the changes are too widespread."

This is the most important line in the patch notes.

yup. everyone crying is just exposing themselves as spark archmage copycats (aka people who dont even play the game). cant wait to see what the newly normalized game is like...we literally have zero idea right now

zero performance improvements...lel. Miserable gameplay stays miserable.

^^^ this 1000x

The devs keep playing in their studio with a closed or private network. The rest of us are still dying in a split second from garbage you can not see because the server lag does not let us and the game fps loss makes input response sluggish. The combination is an instant death which the devs are not experiencing so they have not addressed any part of it.

I found the game completely unplayable due to performance. If they addressed nothing then I wont even bother downloading this. I will wait for them to fix it before coming back
