" It's not the ascendancies. It's all the skills used outside of those, the ones that make up the core of the gameplay. They all got nerfed to heck. No ascendency alone is going to make up for that. So no..the odds are that MAYBE there are a few builds that are passable, but the majority of builds will be garbage now, or barely able to be played, as we slog through maps hoping we don't get zerged by trash mobs because we have no defense, no offense, no cc...nothing to counter the zergs. |

You are forgetting, that they also nerfed monsters and bosses. Their aim is to balance the game to 50k DPS.
Most of the builds that were nerfed did millions of damage, cleared maps without seeing monsters and were unkillable, so the nerfs are justified. I'm also happy seeing that both the melee attack skills were buffed and crossbows. Armour break felt kinda useless, but now it gives actually 20% more damage and you can even buff the effect even more making physical builds probably shine more (they were outperformanced by every elemental damage build). Physical builds got love also with nerfs to monster nerfs "Armour on all monsters has been reduced by 30%". Finally the I have been waiting: bosses no longer have armour penetration HALLELUJAH Slams getting buffed (faster attack speed) also with reduced enemy stun tresholds (values lowered for heavy stun) should make builds that focus on stuns much much more viable in bosses and end game. "Magic enemies are now Primed for Stun when they have at least 50% Heavy Stun buildup, Rare at 60%, and Unique at 70% (previously 60%, 70%, and 80% respectively)." Also players don't get stunlocked anymore so easily, since you get more stun treshold "Players have 50% more Light Stun Threshold per time stunned in past 4 seconds (previously 25% more)" People are just so obsessed seeing the top 3 builds getting gimped that they are blind to see the good stuff and buffs that are right there. |

so everywhere on the internet, wether here in this forum, streamers that got turned away, steam reviews..., you find people complaining about how horrible it is so the game decides to not value your target at all times and instead often likes to overwrite it and have you killed for "smart algorithm reasons"
and here we are, new patch, a LOT of changes. great, how exciting, but the only thing you change with the targeting system is "Fixed some issues targeting corpses when using a controller." <-- this?? do you guys realize so if ppl complain about how bad it is so the game decides against your inputs, so those ppl will only share bad publicity because well, it's quite deserved for not listening to that valid criticism? do you not understand so 99% of the playerbase that will play this game for more than just 100 hours don't need, heck even want such accessibility crap actively ruining your gameplay by overriding your input? are you guys, with all your experience in POE1, not aware so these type of games only exist because of hardcore playerbase, and not because some casuals decide to hop in and hop out some 20-40 hours later? and what it might cause to the game, and your company, if you decide to go against your playerbase for the sake of "catering to everyone"? how is it that in literally every sports, no body cares wether some rando casual noob can't compete with nerds that invest time daily. while in the gaming industry, all games for what ever reason must cater to everyone, which obviously will exclude a lot of ppl because that will never work. no matter the topic. you simply can not cater to everyone. that's just life so pls stop ruining this potentially great game and -fix the targeting system -fix the skills (like Ice Strike) that do not have any inherent movement built in, to actually NOT MOVE YOU if you use "attack without moving". ffs why does Ice Strike dash me to the enemy if i use it out of range? this is horrible design choice. you literally punish good players that try to get an advantage with skill (i.e. by start swinging EARLY so the enemy WALKS INTO YOUR HIT instead of you first going up to them, hugging them, and then start swinging --> huge waste of time) seriously please respect your own playerbase some more! casuals that hop in and out after playing the campaign once, or maybe twice, won't keep your game alive. neither short nor long term. pls -add "Advanced Targeting System" to the options so we can disable accessibility-stuff -fix skills w/o movement to NOT MOVE YOU when using Attack Without Moving i.e. Ice Strike -rework: enemies instant-spells = math-game || very unfitting for meaningful combat cuz can't avoid with skill thx <3 Last edited by Naztrey#9177 on Apr 3, 2025, 11:32:18 AM

People complaining about this patch do not understand how the game work. (or how games work in general)
Though let's be honnest, there's gonna be shit-broken builds very fast. It will just be very different ones. |

Nice nerfs. For people that actually can adapt to changes this won't matter much and just think of a workaround when building their char.

сцукиэ, обосрали вообще все билды на которых хотел попробовать поиграть, и спарк зассали, и из хб какую то дичь тупую сделали, в половине скилов урон(либо удобство) на 20-60% задавили. как будто специально не оставляют вариантов кроме того, что бы играть на ссаном копье или амазонке =_=

As all global armour changes work this way, it does not say +20 damage against monsters, it says against ENEMIES, so, +20% damage against players almost all the time, as the monsters breaks the armour all the time |
