You really expected the number to be close to the original release? Seems you never checked how paid games player cycles work (remember this is a paid game as of now). 34% retention in 4 months is something not so many games manage to get.
Yet my point is.. clearly POE2 is MORE popular than POE 1. SO people LIKE this direction more than POE 1 direction
In marketing poe 2 was invested much more money, as it is a new product with new graphics and company, for this reason in the release popularity was higher than poe 1, it is obvious, time will pass and there will be more objective statistics, but now we can see how much lost the interest of the audience to poe 2.

True, but I see this drop as still way above most games in market. Most games cannot keep 33% retention after 4 months. Except competitive games (want it or not POE2 is mostly single player experience)

And you pay to have fun so a game should not feel like work but here we are.
And since it flew over your head: Just because people are doing something it does not mean they are having fun. So no, my response makes perfect sense.
no your argument makes no sense. Anyone that does not liekPOE2 can stop playing with no side effect. People cannot simply stop working. Your statement makes as much sense as 2+2=3.
Back onto the topic... if it feels like work go do soemthing else. I felt POE1 to be like lobotomy.. so I stopped playing long ago. I LOVE that this game demands me to use my brain a tiny bit at least.. so I will continue to play it.
The "no side effects" would be if you wouldn't have to actualy play to see it's not good. Loosing time is side effect. And also it would be correct if this would be FTP game. But it isn't at this point.
Again, since it flew over your head, the number of people playing does not give you information how may of them have fun and you used the aount of people playing to claim the game is fun. Ergo my response to that minset is in place.
Nah, this is a braindead game at this point. You think you have something to find/figure but that is just your copium if you realise it or not. There is a very big difference between having to use brain or just smashing your skull into a brick wall. Now, if you like that wall so much, hey, have fun but fact is you are a minority.
Anyhow, bye, good talking to you.

I'm not trolling. I'm level 20 and it's absolutely no fun. It...literally feels like work. The passives are all garbage, there is no feeling of progression or becoming more powerful, gaining a level means nothing, and white mobs take forever to kill.
This is the most disappointed I've been since the release of D4.
I envy those who enjoy this, but I'm out. Good luck guys.
Edit: The campaign is absolute torture in its entirety.
100% true... and humtress worst class i've ever played.. horrible gameplay and clunky...

The number of players laying and having fun NOW... is 200K.. so almost PEAK all time (steam) record for POE1. So It seems most of the people that disagree and thing the game is fun are busy playing
Or they just walked in and haven't realized anything yet. Let's look at the online players in a week

It's a game where the best method to play is to literally spam dodge roll every second and turn on a streamers stream to see what build clears fast because the devs give authority to the streamers because they increase their income so much.
The end result is a boring, flat, stupid game.
I wouldn't be surprised if the streamers themselves are the ones who demanded all the one shot mechanics. "HAHAHA IF I GET ONE SHOT THEN I CAN MAKE A LOUD SOUND AND GET MORE SUBS AND DONATIONS. HEY DEVS THESE 1 SHOTS ARE AWESOME! DON'T WORRY, THE GAME WILL STILL BE FUN WHEN BALANCING YOUR CHARACTER DOESN'T MATTER AS LONG AS LOSERS LIKE KRIPP AND ALK AND ZIGGYD GET A PAYCHECK FROM BETAS WHO WATCH INSTEAD OF PLAY".

New class just bad... will wait until league gets patched. Nothing to do there right now.

This new PoE2 patch is absolutely miserable. Every build feels like it got kneecapped—nothing does damage anymore. It now takes five full minutes to kill a single white trash mob in normal difficulty. That’s not challenging, that’s boring.
The pacing is completely off. Combat feels like I’m dragging a wet sock through mud. And when I die, it’s not "oh wow, I got outplayed," it's "there’s no way I’m doing that again." Why? Because everything respawns, the maps are massive, and the enemies move at Mach 3 while my character crawls like they’ve got a herniated disc. I get funneled into a corner and deleted, and I’m left sitting there thinking, "Why am I even playing this?"
This isn't difficulty. This is tedium, frustration, and design that punishes you for trying to have fun. Bring back the fun, or you’re going to watch players vanish like your patch notes nerfed joy itself.

Started as minions. Biggest mistake. Raging spirits are destroyed, minions feel like junk, all those essence drain mechanics never really worked and are good just to show off.
Just read patch notes, nope, nothing is really buffed. Builds will still feel ultra hardcore unless you flood them with currency. We are, once again, where we started: find a bug-build, abuse it, make money out of it, destroy economy by setting whatever prices you want, repeat. Thank you GGG, very casual friendly game you created.

Ya, I made the mistake of playing spark/srs/arsonists. They absolutely wrecked it.
