With multiple arpgs putting out seasons so close to one another it's silly to think slogging thru the campaign for a week to slowly map for another one or two will keep player count higher esp when half the pop doesn't feel like any of it is fun. If you only play one arpg, this, then sure slow is fine, but if you rotate from poe1/2, le, d3/d4, new grim dawn exp, titan quest 2 later, people who play Torchlight, smaller arpgs like hero siege, slormancer, whatever else I missed, slowly slogging thru the game to barely reach end game before a newer season comes up on another game isn't rewarding. I'm assuming most of the "IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT LEAVE" ppl are one game arpg players, two at best with poe1 , but you have no economy if no one is playing, you have no interest if streamers aren't playing, you have no game. Look at wolcen, it's dead, shut down and over. Usually makes more sense to listen to the majority rather than the sweat dad minority. Not only am I a huge PoE fan but also a ruthless player. PoE2 is slow, unbalanced, and honestly heartbreaking. I don't know if I should laugh or cry that my favorite game is dead. The fact they are arguing and tweaking campaign difficulties is already a lost cause in arpg design on poe2. If you like harder, slower, risky fights you should design your own end game maps to do just that. The focus should solely be focused on map and end gam design and playing the campaign is like forced into extreme ruthless mode. I remember when D2 was amazing then d3 launched and mobs were unkillable and lack of character power and build diversity. I'm about to watch this repeat I think. It's rapidly done....ok....right ...but... when you can cook (yourself) for several hours without counting, the result is a balance between hard work and good ingredients... Making the magic happenning. I don't think Ggg have the kraft diner on it's menu. " Kraft diner meals every days of the week. Sure, I agree. I'm the cook of the house and I enjoy a nice meal, but when you cook everyday kraft is a nice option. Which has validity to your point, but I would assume it comes down to sales and bottom dollar for them. It's not a 50 dollar steak and as an eventually f2p game you want ppl playing more often than not to buy mtx. There's a reason why the line at McDonald's is long. I'm not saying it's better than steak but sure is more player friendly, my wife can easily get McDonald's but she will burn water. All in all I love arpgs and if they want it slower I'll play either way but they need to figure out a clear direction other than you better dodge every boss attack or restart the ten minute fight. Edit* I also had kraft blue box for lunch so that I didn't have to waste time cooking to play. Didn't fix squat. Minions are completely ignored on majority of the maps by mobs. They push past them like they don't exist. Heading directly for the player regardless of how many minions are attacking them. Have seen mobs grind to a halt when bottle necked and forced to stop by minions blocking the path. They don't attack just stand there and get beat on by minions. Minions die with even the most trivial encounters. Making it virtually impossible to play them. Wisps, why did ya even put them in the rewards aren't even worth the effort of following it. (especially with a minion build) I know bugs are expected but this is just way out to left field even for GGG. Specters are bugging out and freezing up and not doing anything. Have to weapon swap to get them to become active again. The majority of the cost of specters is not worth even using them. Specters raised from unique versions with extra abilities aren't keeping the abilities. Unless you wanna be a minion collector and catch them all. Specters are useless. This patch has some good elements and some not so good elements. By far the worst decision was to slow down the pace of the already sluggish campaign. the difficulty should be reserved for bosses during the campaign and end game mapping + bosses. Spears need some love and most skill gems need buffs. I dont believe the 25% hp nerf was enough honestly. get back to the drawing board GGG and listen to your community - that's why POE 1 was so succesfull.
