How in general things work. In order to consume you first must produce.

For the players to consume they have trade their free time for work/money so they can pay(yes GGG needs to earn money with MTX) and play the game. Players dont have infinite spare time, so slowing the game/making it harder for them is not good, they will just stop playing sooner or later.

For GGG to keep doing what they are doing they need to earn money, they earn money from the players GGG. If players dont like the game they wont pay/play and GGG have either to reduce salaries/fire people/increase work time or they have to increase MTX prices(also their expenses are always going up due to other reasons).

So now matter what GGG have to listen to the players one way or another. Also just for an example now you are saying you are looking into people saying the maps are too big, this is not from now, this is since december :)

What i would like to see as changes is on/off options for players skills/spells visuals effects and for deli/breach and other future mechanics that change the visuals of the whole screen. Also the pulsing red effect on low health, it is super annoying(sorry if there is a way atm the turned it off, i couldnt find it)

Please dont mess more with the campaign ''difficulty'', the campaign is pretty much the tutorial it is fun 1-2 times after that is just annoying/waste of time. When you know what you are doing you want to play the real game, not to be slower every time.

Keep working and improving the game GGG, it is one of the few things that i play regularly :)

From a player's who is new to GGG/POE perspective, reading this post was disappointing.

Look, I have now over 200 hours in POE2 now, but only got 1 (ONE) character to actually play the endgame, back in 0.1. There are many problems during the campaign, but one of them is still way over the scope any reasonable player should be asked to tolerate - good lord the campaign is just TOO LONG.

I just lose interest in the character before I'm able to reach endgame. I then stop for a while, pick the game up again, try a different character... and so it goes.

The Act 3 maps are TOO MUCH, they are too large, while I'm so damned SLOW. Every time I even think about Act 3 (or cruel) waiting for me around the corner, I just stop wanting to play.

And you can pave these maps with checkpoints, I still won't want to play Act 3 maps unless you SHRINK the maps or at the very least make me much faster.

I dread to think what the actual Acts 4 - 6 look like, based on Act 3..
Feel of Parry combo is also related to disengage not seemingly to pick up the parry debuff of monsters in pack but perhaps instead hitting/targetting the only monster without parry?

At least it feels like often when you do finally get a parry debuff (after standing there doing nothing waiting for monster in pack to hit you for ages), you instantly hit disengage and nothing happens to the creature in front in front of you with the debuf...

Makes parry "combo" feel like a very long waste of time
Could you please address ritual mechanic? At first I thought I just killed relatively a lot of monster near the altar, but it seems this mechanic now takes triple the time it was taking in 0.1.x
It was supposed to be relatively fast paced mechanic but now it takes me more time to do 3-4 altars than the map itself.
I love GGG, and have probably close to 10k hours in poe 1. I've played every league since legion and have felt the nerfhammer before. But this feels bad. They fixed so many things in 0.1 to make the game more fun and balanced. Make loot feel rewarding etc. and now it feels like they reverted all the good things they changed.

I personally feel loot is the largest issue that could fix many other things.
I'm halfway through act 6 and have found 7 exalts, 2 alchemy orbs according to my pilfering ring MTX. They said they want us to use currency in the campaign. Following this philosophy I have been using this small amount of currency to try and upgrade my gear. I have done EVERY zone objective, full cleared many zones, check vendors every level and still my gear is scuffed. I haven't been able to craft or find a single weapon upgrade since a2. I've picked up normal bases to transmute/aug and regal in hopes of any upgrade but there is just too little loot and currency drops to reliably get upgrades.

With better gear while leveling, the campaign would feel much less like a drag. And despite fixing this in 0.1 it seems their changes to IIR have messed up loot in general, again.

I want to love this game but having to motivate myself to slog through the campaign in the hope that 'it will get better in maps' shouldn't be the case. The 'vision' is getting in the way of an actual fun game.

I’m having fun testing the huntress but the game still feels sluggish previously I tested several characters on 0.1.0 the best was a minion witch which I got bored of on act 3 the campaign is too long not rewarding enough and it feels miserable you have successfully turned an ARPG into a survival horror where we need to run for our lives from anything around us… ARPGs fans despise this way of playing we like to feel powerful and the concept of powerful is different for everyone but we all agree that characters feel brittle you die too fast in this game and there are very few tools through the campaign to solve this problem.
You’re putting into a mixer huge maps, with easy death, with lets respawn all the mobs now that you died of an instant KO so you can die again and run this whole huge maps again… and you won’t get any better drop this time around either… the overall feeling is terrible.

Edit: you said you wouldn’t be heavy handed on the nerfs during the early access pre 0.1.0 you said that you would let players have fun with crazy things and you invest more development resources in heavy handed nerfs than everywhere else… you keep using terms like “we need to be careful” no you don’t it’s a PVE game it’s not a PVP where unbalanced mechanics ruin the game itself if someone wants to use the broken build to clear all content in a whim so be it, if someone wants to experiment and off meta they need to be able to do that as well without this feeling like a drag.

Why is the Guild Stash still missing in League. I purchased this in 0.1.1 for my Guild and it does not show up. It shows when I log on to a non-league toon that I had previously created though. Are we expected to buy it AGAIN???

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE scale down the damage that monster poison does. It is absolutely INSANELY too strong. It's almost like was doubled (if not more) than the 0.1.1 version. Using a melee character is impossible when you can't take more than 2 hits of poison from NORMAL WHITE monsters.

Large Area Sizes

Many players are reporting that areas feel like they are too large. Normally when this is the case, the main reason is due to other concerns such as monster life or player damage being incorrect, or just a lack of entertaining content in the area. However, we are checking to see if there are any outliers that players are spending too long in to see if any changes to area size need to happen.

In the meantime, we did notice that there are some areas that don't have sufficient checkpoints, so we are doing a pass of adding some more of these.


Tell me you're not playing your own game without telling me you're not doing it.

I get that you want the playerbase to spend A LOT more time in the campaign because the endgame is still barebones and you're planning to downsize the maps and the campaign zones at release because the very vast majority of the players wouldn't want to spend another 15+ hours again whenever they might want to get a new character in the (release) endgame.

I also get that you want the D2 loot table with grey and white items valuable from start till the end, but, considering that it doesn't look like you are really playing the game or even testing it, WHERE IS THE LOOT?

What I don't get it's how would this "vision" of cringe game would align with your intention to have a souls like game, D2 loot table but without loot and POE endgame at the same time with players able to accept re-doing a campaign whenever they want new characters.

Sadly, this update makes this state of POE2 very comparable with the initially released D3 (the Jay Wilson version) and worse than any D4 (lol).

TLDR: You're not a small indie company anymore and shouldn't act like being the new Blizzard.

PS: I hope you keep these ridiculous ideas for yourself and please DO NOT bring them to 3.26 whenever you are going to start working on it. Also please start listening to your player base and PLAY THE GAME.







Yet another unpaid Path of Exile 2 Alpha Tester.
The loot in early caimpain does not seem equal for everyone..! I see ppl online with 4-6 exalts per acts. I got 1 exalt and 1 alchemy orb per act so far. I got ONE ok armor and zero weapon, i spent my two exalts for unique weapons.. i'm at act 2 boss, can't kill him.. got shit resistance and dps.. can't upgrade before what seems like HOURS of grinding..even after the changes you rolled out. Is my rng just stupid or is the game just like that now?
