Game freeze with map reset

Update - since 0.3 I get this issue constantly, every 1-2 maps. Every time, I hit the pause button right away. About 2/3rds of the time it will be paused during the load screen/black screen. But about 1/3rd of the time the game will have the pause menu window showing but will NOT be paused and my character is forced moving in a single direction, I can't change the direction they're moving in, I can attack and be attacked but I can't see anything, still the black load screen, until it "catches up" and then I'm in a completely different spot than before. Just died to this because I thought the game was paused and it wasn't.
Trying to fight bosses with a blanked-out screen with wheels turning is awful. Despite what GGG claims, the game will un-pause before you regain control.

I read that GGG believes this is a Nvidia issue with newer drivers. Are other games having the same issue? If newer drivers are the issue, why does PoE2 push "update your driver version" so hard? (I know you can ignore that warning.)

Anyway, does anyone know, with certainty, the most-recent version of Nvidia drivers that doesn't have this issue? Jonathan seems to be saying before 560 in this clip: youtube.com/watch?t=6487&v=LtHF35GOZhw&feature=youtu.be

And for all the sycophants: please stop saying "it's early access" - you're just embarrassing yourselves.


Possible solution (works for me personally)

I've been having the same problem since the very beginning of the league. On almost every map. I tried everything the forums said, changed the settings, switched to Vulcan—it was unplayable. I finally switched to DirectX 12, resigned to the fact that I'd have to live with it. And while I was thinking about it, I just realized that I've been playing on the same server since the league started—Stockholm. I switched to Frankfurt, and lo and behold, the problem went away. It's been three days now without the problem—not in boss fights, not even when clearing maps. Maybe my solution will help someone; now, thanks to it, I can play without any problems.

Still making the game unplayable with 1-2 crashes per map. Still unaddressed almost 12 months later.
Sometimes looking for trouble gets trouble to look for you.
Just lost a HC character because of this bug, couldn't pause the game even when I pressed ESC. Not at all happy at this moment but I'll refrain from what I want to say other than I'm disappointed.
What's the most recent statement or status directly from GGG on this issue?
