Redoing the campaign was fine when it took 6 hours. It's not fine when it takes 20.

How many times did any of you replay Witcher 3? Any of Metal Gear games? Dark souls? I usually play these games once and then maybe replay them again in a few years.

PoE2 campaign is as lengthy as some story-driven games. And we're supposed to re-do it every time we want to try a new character. On HC, every time we die.

The campaign is great by ARPG standards, but only by these standards. It's a completely linear experience. The story is ok but not like insanely good. The cinematics are meh. There's no reason to force us to complete it over and over again.

Let us finish it once per league and then allow us to start in the endgame. I'm not asking for instant level 70, just add some low tier maps for us to level on idk.

I played PoE1 a lot and never really had the problem with redoing the campaign because it was SHORT. But THIS just can't go on like this. I bet the game will lose more players to this issue over any other.

Since i am not playing one of the special builds (just improvising) and I am not a gamer streamer god, it took me 24h just to complete act 3. Not to mention cruel.

I dont want a campaign skip but something has to be done or people like you will demand it.

Well i was never a big fan of campaign skip but what else can they do? Make it shorter? It would have to be like 3-4 times shorter, and they can't just make the zones that smaller can they? They can't just cut out huge chunks of it either, and i'm not sure i'd even want that, because again, by ARPG standards, it IS good. Not to mention that it'd take too many mahours and they'd have to discard much of what they've already done, and remember there's another 3 acts cooking and probably are mostly finished, and they'd have to redo much of that, too.

Campaign skip is the only viable option i'm afraid.
They could do like Diablo 3. Let you complete the Campaign Once. Then on other characters you can choose to do Campaign or enter the like Free Roaming Mode they had
Maybe they could come up with a compromise.

Something like increasing XP and let people decide if they want to continue the campaign after act 3 or move on to the endgame.

I generally like staying in the campaign as long as possible, but even for me the PoE2 campaign feels too long.

I like cozy games
It feels longer because it's the same 3 acts twice. If the last 3 acts had a randomizer element to it, it could have a better feeling experience. When you run maps, it's an almost fresh experience in each. If you run the campaign, it's the same experience every time. This wouldn't be that much of an issue with the entire 6 acts, but a stopgap measure until they're developed would be to have that "ok now act 1 is randomized, zones are crazy, monsters from other acts show up, bosses are remixed".
Impatience is insatiable.

I mean, you can tell yourself this, but the same problem is still going to exist when the full 6 acts are finally done.

Yes. Shorten zones, do a good job of directing players, reduce dead ends, tone down monster scaling.

I disagree. Its because the actual campaign is often seen as a tutorial. You play the story then make your own story with progression and gear and power. People dont want to run 50 hour campaigns 7 times per league.
I dont mind it 20 hours as long as I'm having fun progress.
but getting stuck in a boss for lack of equipment is annoying.
