Xbox Game Share

This is ridiculous business practice, you have just deleted several thousand potential revenue streams in order to take NO ACTION AT ALL AGAINST RMT PLAYERS (who need one account and not via you website for which no account is needed)

And as a last post on this topic @GGG (Edit: Apologies, this turned out to be untrue and I have posted again)

If there ever is a PoE3 I will still get a free lifetime EA access because, due to this outrageous method to not solve but create another problem, I will have EXACTLY the same lifetime spend I have today. We were going to buy a guild currency tab, say goodbye to that revenue and that was today alone…. the future is bleak for our expenditure on GGG products.

Edit: Just a tiny bit of information for the blind leading the blind who made this decision, you can’t bot on XBox as it’s a closed ecosystem as 100% of your developers know. The bots are ALL ON PC, you have literally reduced the player base and not affected a single bot hence you just gave the bots a bugger grasp on the economy

As it should be after a move like this. Absolutely insane that they thought this was an acceptable way to solve the issue of a few bots using the game share feature. I know I will never spend money on their products again either. I had plans to buy a full set of quads for my guild but definitely not anymore.
First they screw over PlayStation players by removing all of their mtx and blaming PlayStation network... Now they're screwing over the Xbox players for using a feature that Xbox has always had. Lmao.

This company has gone to pot. I see why Chris left. Lol I am honestly not super surprised at the greed though, this happens with all games ran by similar companies after they purchase them.

There are literally no bots using game share, XBox is a closed ecosystem so how can you run unsigned code on it? (True you can in development mode, which costs 99$ and stops you from being able to play any XBox games)

I own two Xbox in my place JUST to game share with my partner. This is literally the only game we've had this issue

There are plenty of early access games on Xbox and game share works on all of the ones I tried.

This is insane.

We just requested a refund through email.

Not greedy, they just decided to reduce their potential income not increase it.
This is a ‘thing you use to check oil level in a car’ that decided some action without consulting people in the company that know it’s not correct.

What no reply from @GGG about how you can run a bot program on a closed ecosystem that disallows unsigned code?

I hope your right but I doubt they will ever go back on a change like this once they realize that some people probably panic bought the game so they could play. Companies like this tend to prioritize the short-term gains over any possible long-term success. That why games like this tend to end up abandoned during development and never finished.
