Streaming kills this game for me.

Hi there, I just wanted to express some frustration as one of the players who is self-made and really enjoys the experience of discovering and surpassing things on my own.

In recent years Streamers have had such an influence in PoE to the point that almost every player i interact with dumps the streamers information right on top of me, There's no mystery left its all this is best and that is best.

then there's also the confirmed cases of GGG doing favors for some of these streamers which GGG has been caught red handed doing and is nothing unusual in the industry but that doesn't make it any less morally wrong and honestly disrespectful to your playerbase.

Earlier today i was hearing an infodump from a friend about a particular streamer who i won't call out but the streamer was trying to objectify why it's ok for them to receive all of these donations from people because they are doing a service to the community but...

I do not feel like having the entire movie spoiled by someone with a megaphone outside the theatre very helpful and earnestly its more of a disservice than anything.

And then there is their fans, These streamers some of them are supported and when people try to offer opinions which differ from theirs even if they are completely wrong in every way there is so much pushback here that its almost pointless to even try to give you feedback anymore (the same ones that don't even need to make their own currency and as such don't have an objective view of the reality that most people face)

You could do so much better, You're turning this game into a 3 second clip on whatever media site is popular and im really not interested in it anymore.

Can we get some supported streamers that actually PLAY THE GAME instead of getting the road paved in gold for them? Thanks.

Uh, just don’t watch them? I maybe pay attention to 2 streamers ever, outside of something like a gauntlet event.

You cant turn back time. Its 2025, Many players just need streamers to tell them what to do? Is it thrilling watching an unshaved nerd that plays 24/7, For me its not. But its a free world and many like doing this.

Only time I watch streams is when there's a "Twitch Loot Thing" going on. And by watching I mean muting the tab minimizing the browser.

But I'm with you on the omnipresence of these influencers. It's hard ignore it to experience any game all fresh and new, when the promotion period of early access, test realms or whatever you call them, lasts for so long that you inevitably find yourself longing for more information and spoiling yourself.

I remember when the only information available was printed news articles in game magazines. Those I read up and down for months until the release lifted that veil of mystery. Prime examples for this were games like "Mafia", "Age of Empires II" or even "Ultima IX"

Today, by the time of its release, any "new" game is allready old. But that's how the industry works today.

It's good advice, I've certainly tried to isolate myself from those influences.

People who get an unfair advantage in a game where people pay real money to enable trade access are just well.. I have no words for any of it.

I've worked hard for everything i have in PoE and with well over 30,000 hours i've never found a mirror, I could name a few streamers with less hours than me and much less farming-strategy under their belt that have found countless mirrors over all these years.

I sincerely wish GGG luck with the product going forward i do love the game even PoE2 has its charm.

Edit: and hey i know im shouting into the storm pointlessly here but i still wanted to give this feedback, I have spent so much time here giving my feedback on so many areas of the game to the point my concepts have actually made it into the game and i never thought i deserved some special treatment and i sure never got it either not in any way shape or form, Why should they? Why should anyone.

I put my time in, My blood and sweat for my LOVE for this game and it is my fervent wish that we all be treated equally and we have not been for a very long time and few people have the amount of playtime required to truly call it out but i do and i am.

That the biggest hailmary attempt to blame anything and everything for this terrible game other then the game ive seen till this point lol.

ok. this is too much. what do you think about turning off twitch/ytb and play your game without consuming content?

man there are tons of streamers out there that regularly play the hell out of the game. go check out raxx, you may have your opinion changed.

I wish we could go back to the days of being stuck on psycho mantis. That fight will teach you to enjoy touching grass. I started the game over thinking i missed something like the old resident evil games where you save somewhere before tyrant and have no ammo and have to start over.

well i'd love to see GGG give them some screentime by making them supported streamers.

Not that i'd watch either way but at least people wouldn't be watching an almost entirely fake progression in some cases.
