Upcoming Plans for 0.2.0g

PoE 1 players are going to fuck this game up bad.

Their benchmark for creativity is copying their favorite streamer's build and their desired difficulty is "breeze through every level".

Just bump the goddamn loot a bit and leave it.

I don't think most PoE1 players would mind if PoE2 endgame's endgame was actually hard. The problem is that even sustaining regals and exalts is excruciating in the early endgame. You constantly run out of exalts if you want to partake in all of the game's mechanics and systems. Not to mention perfect jeweller orbs taking forever to drop even in juiced maps. The only reliable mechanic in PoE2 for gearing is trading. That's not how things should be.
Buff Ice Shot
Loot during campaign is off by orders of magnitude, whats the point since you will fix it then make the exact same mistake next league

Chris, come back Pls , we'll forgive you
path of snoozefest 2
Thank you guys ! <3

As a 9000 hour POE1 player I have to say I like the difficult parts of the game. POE1 lets you watch a movie whilst you play, POE2 has you pay more attention.

We won't ruin the game, because we don't design the game. We haven't had anything from POE1 made better or even equivalent. Everything is actually a worse version in some way, except perhaps Ritual which barely had good loot anyway and remains the same (with less options because of less items in game in comparison).

What POE1 players like myself would like to see is more of an end game. We had progression. We had build challenge (pinnacles, ubers, uber-ubers) where you felt like those top 10% of your item upgrades meant something. Now you get to a point where you kill stuff so fast that there is no point in even continuing because it doesn't challenge your build and the items upgrades stop having a purpose.

Most POE1 players know that you hit a wall with loot upgrades where you are good enough to do end game and the last 5% of upgrades are too expensive so you have chase items to work towards for min-maxing. Then you have an uber version of the bosses which challenge those last percents. Tier 0-4 Pinnacles don't cover this right now. But it's on the right track and when more bosses appear, it will slide into place. So we are not trying to ruin this element.

However, what the game did remove that has left everyone (including pure-POE2 players) lacking is the crafting options. We are expected to pick up the blues, exalt slam the rares to completion, and perhaps hit the odd white base with an essence or do the full slam with virtually no deterministic elements.
This leads to having no real situation for getting those last 5% upgrades because unless you are making 10div a day, it's unobtainable within the time that someone gets bored and quits. The drops are not helping and currently require a large investment in Rarity to even make it feel like your time is worth the effort.

The game difficult extrapolates this because we find overlapping towers, tablets, corrupted/cleansed areas, exalt slam our maps at a higher rate than they drop, and end up running a map that is often extremely difficult in order to be potentially worth the return, and find nothing of value in dozens of maps. So we are working at a loss.

POE1 players are not ruining this game. We love POE and want this game to be the best experience, especially for new players who will take up the mantle and keep the game in development for another 12 years and more. We just know a few more elements of the game that would make it better and have to see that it's being made worse, then temp-fixed, then another worse element, then temp-fixed, then reverted, then temp-fixed. And we are used to this, but it has to be a long term positive sum game. Not the current negative sum game it is in during early access.
Now is the time to speak out and fix these issues. Not when it's too late and POE2 becomes a meme about how the mighty have fallen.
How about you fix the trash power fantasy and zone layouts/map layouts being to big and god forbid the absolute TRASH TRIALS!! How about we fix things that matter to most to most players other than drops (again and again and again)!!
chances of making Spirits actually usable at early levels, instead of costing all the spirit you have?
