Thought on 0.2.0g update

Terrible. Absolutely Terrible.

Average map used to drop me 7=8 Gold items. Mods would be in the range of T3 - T7.

First 3 maps dropped 4 Gold items per map, all had less than Tier 3 stats and nothing higher, level 5 white items dropping in monster level 69 maps. Why?

Gold drops are stupid since almost no one uses gold after story. It is just collecting in inventory. It nice to have an increase somewhere but I'd rather get an extra exalt or 2 than 50k gold

Drop rates reduced would be OK if the loot tables we're dropping higher tier mods and better quality (not referring to item quality, but the overall quality of the item and the tiers of the mods) Getting worse gear than dropped in story in endgame maps makes the game feel even worse than before this "update"

Maps only dropping the same Tier as the instance you are in makes it really hard to climb the ladder when you never get a map higher than Tier 5 to drop. At least let them drop 1 tier higher way more often.

And still no mention of fixing the lag spike issues. This is the overall worst problem with the game. I can not run Trials with my Guild because EVERYTIME we try to run as a group at least one of us gets trapped outside the instance and can not get in. We're had them reset their game, restart their console, reset their modems, but all they see is the grinding gears symbol and they never get into the instance with us. I have lost a ton of maps in endgame due to lag spikes. Lag spikes also completely wipe all map progress and you no longer no where the hell you are or where you have been on the map.

I know you're trying and you're making improvements with the Early access. I REALLY want to like this game but the level of frustration with the bugs, lag spikes, shitty loot tables, and overall low quality of the items makes it very unenjoyable. No dopamine spikes are happening, just disappointment over and over again.

When is patch releasing? Playing coop and the loot is crap if not worse then season one and what this person is saying seems fairly accurate unless the patch still is not live. Nothing but orb of augs and transmutations and gold annd scrolls dropping , with over 100% rarity find. High tier gear is dropping more but all crap with a level item 82 tier 5 having light radius multiple times too this happened to us. We leave maps with stacks of orbs of aug and transmu and scrolls its abit insane. Nothing we got so far helps with the overall progression needed to get stronger for end game bosses. Level 90 both of us with high stats that can run maps in single digit minutes. We beat all of season one with way more divine drops and greater orb drops to the one divine drop and perfect jewel drop after about 200hours of gameplay this season and if not way more. It’s becoming a burnout situation and I think I speak for most people if the update is currently live it’s not headed in a good direction. Love the game and hoping for this to be seen and fixed.

Well, after the patch we definitely get a lot of trash rares from everywhere, from chests to mobs. Still have to either cart them all to hideout 2-3 times per map, or to stand in map spamming wisdom scrolls (yay modern design). But we've been there already, poe1 also drops a lot of rares and no one picks them up. A very poe patch overall, classic bait and switch. Trade is still mandatory to get upgrades.

I mean with tier numbers now being listed backwards, you have no idea how valuable each rare is. Those T8-T12 modifiers tell me nothing.

Started playing on my PS5 account from scratch. Night and day, finally loot that is usable. It makes me want to pick up rares and see what I get, amazing rolls. W patch for sure. Keep it up GGG.

It works in Acts where every rare is an improvement. In endgame you won't last long in scavenger mode. Even if you memorise all new affix tiers, maybe 1 of 1000 rare items will be an upgrade. Poe1 proved normal players won't keep sifting though unidentified loot and would rather buy on trade
Admittedly I posted this after being trolled by the NEW CONTENT banner and not realizing that it had gone live again yet.

That being said. I logged in this morning to give it another chance and it was terrible. The lag spike was so bad I had to shut down and reboot, hard reset. Game locks up the moment an elite fight starts and then when it ends I am either dead or the game has crashed to desktop

The gear that I did manage to find was worse than I used to find before, No mods higher than T3 on a Tier 6 map. Mob level is 69 and white items are dropping at lvl 3-7, I really dont care that I got more gold. The most useless currency in the game and we give you more. Dont care.

My rarity is 101 and I am getting shit still.

2 maps dropped in a Tier 6 Map run, both were Tier 5. How is one expected to move forward in Endgame when the maps are regressive?

I can not play the game. The lag spikes are so bad that the current state of the game is unenjoyable. Ill check in after the next patch when i see the Lag issues mentioned in the notes otherwise I wont be spending any more money on this game until then. Its not worth the frustration when an ENTIRE map give out only 7% xp and a single death is a backwards step.
Inb4 updated loot filters hide 90% of new rares on "strict" and above.

TBH it feels a little over-tuned. I agree that the loot was not plentiful enough before, but now it's almost too much. One of the main criticisms of D4 was that it was an inventory management game, and that was right. This is just my subjective opinion, but I don't want to find upgrades EVERY TIME I play. That removes the chase for better items and progress for me.

Also, for the above comment about Gold being useless: Use the Gambling feature my dude.

Me and my coop partner which is my brother is all for the grind and don’t expect or want hand out we like the challenge. There need to be some kind of progressive feeling for end game even if it’s getting a little more currency instead. I’m hammering chaos trials with my bro making over 100exalted within 10 15minutes but not able to get even 10exalted within 10maps. Me and my bro played for 8hours just mapping t14-t16and rolling through it and found mapping is completely still pointless unlessless your wanting raw experience. We rather just run chaos but even that starts to get old when you know there’s a whole game of content to be had but not really worth it since CURRENCY is the main thing for trading as well as upgrading when your near or at end game point and not enough drops to juggle these activity’s to get even a since of progression. At this point why pick through 1000 different loot for an upgrade or sell when people can run chaos for currency. Feels as if most of the point of the game gets cancelled out by grinding chaos trial making easy 90-160exalteds per 7-10minute runs makes no sense. There needs balancing I should want to run maps in general for currency and exp and such not chaos trials when chaos trials should have it more fulfilling rewarding purpose especially for end game mapping. Everything should have a place.
