Is Hexblast alive?

Adding colldown to it pretty much kills it.
Hexblast changes were so mean spirited. It was a very satisfying skill (with mines). If it was doing too much damage then nerf that, but to gut it mechanically like this was pretty cruel.

Felt like they didn't want anyone to touch the skill anymore and didn't want to spend any time to meaningfully balance it so they took a lazy approach. Makes sense I guess considering they have like 2 people balancing the game, but it still hurts.
Exactly, all cheesy builds should be dead. Now they just need to delete Ice Trap

Yepp, i've opened up a feedback thread hoping they might revert it and nerf damage instead, or ad a tag on it that makes it do less damage with mines that way they'll keep selfcast damage as someone claimed that's why they killed mines.

Then people will just move to another Trap/Mine. There will always be something. Traps/Mines archetype is just that strong.
Personally I might go with Lightning Trap with new Sabo.
Its back on the menu for me now, its a bit jank but if you frontload enough its fine to have a short cd.

Might regret it :p but might not

Might as well just remove all traps from the game. The whole concept of traps in an ARPG is kind of ridiculous - this isn’t some stealth game. That’s why they always have to make them overpowered, otherwise no one in their right mind would play a trap build in a fast-paced ARPG

Thanks for letting me know you're trolling. Lightning trap is my favorite build in d2.
Very nice ladder starter that drops off a cliff in hell, until you farm enough for infi then suddenly it's one of the best pvm builds again even in hell.
It's not faster than a light sorc, nor hdin. But it's comfy to play.

And for pvp it was whirlwind/trap hybrid (crap in pvm but realy nice in pvp if you can time your wws right)

Then people will move to totems/ballistas/minions
In PoE being able to deal damage w/o needing to stand still and w/o need to stay close to enemies is biggest advantage you can have. Thats why Traps/Mines are so strong.
