[Removed by Support] The REASON 1 div : 1900 alterations is so expensive and cumbersome is simply because the value differential between the two is so spread apart. It's impractical in EITHER trade to do that. The "normal" person will trade however many chaos for a full inventory of alts at a time, or break the alteration trade on faustus to what they can currently afford gold-wise. There is no reason you HAVE TO trade a div to alterations in the first place: [Removed by Support] Faustus was not designed to remove the "limited inventory space" issue that normal trading sometimes experience (always though entirely under your control). He does do that, to a point, but it was never truly a rationale for his existence. You / We were told that the MORE numerical currency you are trying to get (ie: the higher the ratio), the more the gold cost. So.......ask for less at a time. Or use an appropriate valuation of trade that involves a much smaller ratio. The price goes up based on value of each side of the currency, but also the ratio. I would bet that the gold cost going from chaos to the same number of alterations is likely less, although I haven't proven that it could be wrong. But the sheer fact that you are choosing a $100 bill to trade with is likely the reason its so expensive. I have to say i agree that gold costs are way out of hand for some content, as a bosser, i have to buy tons of frags and sell frags at the auction house and gold costs become unbearable. And no i cant ust the trade site as its impossible to find frag sellers and buyers. Or i have to literally cut my profit in half. (frags sell for 60c on trade site and 115c on currency exchange)
For example, buying 30 sets will cost me 30k gold and then selling the frags i get from the boss will cost me another 85k. Add in the other random drops and it goes up to like 120k gold/hour. thats ridiculous. Im not afk in my hideout, im literally playing the game for hours on end but the boss drops 200 gold and i just cant sustain. i can go mapping and do maybe 20k per map but mapping is slow cause im a bosser with a bossing build. i cant clear juiced maps quickly. Why would i need 2 builds to do 1 type of content? isnt that ridiculous? Ends up if i wanna do 1h of bossing, i have to do at least 30-45 minutes of map farming. It kills the fun tbh. As OP has said, GGG said, gold costs would not be a hindrance for players that play the game but it definitely is. As a side note i also believe currency exchange needs better UI, going back and forth buying frags and stuff, why do i always need to re-select the category im in. when i buy 1 frag, ill want the other 3 next. Why not add a section at the top with my favorites quick access. You know, stuff you always buy. Let me have presets or something. Or replace the "Popular" Section with that, i dont really care that orb of conflict or whatever is popular. When i click on the "I want" or "I have" button at the top, it should bring me back to the category the selected item already is in |

Pretty sure if you maven witness and do a rotation or two of synth maps you get more gold then your 35-35 min of farming. Bosses could drop more gold, but suggesting that any activity in the game should self suffice all gold requirements is a bit much. But my counter to suggesting "something was wrong" is that perhaps changing the system won't have your desired effect. You would likely still be fine if you got 30% or less alts, fusings, ect for your divine as a tradeoff of easier accessibility to flippers, maybe more. But for the average player doing less trades they are likely better off with the current cost then with any changes. Its not because what YOU are farming is not affected by the current situation with gold that others are fine with it as well. " The maps are the defacto expected gameplay loop. Chain doing bosses, crafting in hideout, heist, delve whatever are not. You have a problem because you choose to not use the resources available to you. This is crucial for the whole "eats into my profit" mentality that what seems like every single SC player (sometimes me included) boils down to "meh divines per hour" toxic mentality. If you truly cared about divines per hour you wouldn't be running 35 min worth of maps or more in order to get a trivial amount of gold.
