Why is warrior getting nerfed?
" let me put it this way, the only deaths people have problems with is 1 hit KOs or 2-4 hits shotguns (effective KO). i died due to small hits plenty but it was always me fucking up, the vast majority of deaths are rng pop type. and for these scenarios the 'bonus' to mitigation gained form this mod/change is laughable. there is a reason people keep mobs at range here, and this particular change wont help with that at all Last edited by AintCare#6513 on Aug 25, 2025, 2:40:35 PM

There is a ton of information we dont have. Those patch notes are more then a teaser of all the changes. All critical information has not been given.
Armor formular, for example, is a old poe1 Version that could have been easily been changed. We dont know. Maybe now its after res or they changed values (They nerfed Scavenged Plating --> this makes no sense when armor formular stays the same). We dont know either: Support gems, tree, monsterpower, pace and so on. (In the 0.3 presentation the player in the background have been doing a ton of dmg to the bosses. Wolf Boss from A1 lost 30% from one single hit.) What we know is: Items have been buffed. Exceptional Versions (30% better stats for almost every item) plus the rune of "roll 80-120%" on top is very strong. This will result in 40-50% better items for lategame. 900 max dmg mace is wild and this would not have been the limit i guess. But, if this is in the game now, monsters will be stronger and normal players will be crushed even more. And this is only one single change. Relax all and wait what happens. What rune rolls 80-120%? are you talking about the omen?
We need to think about this stuff for a second. quit getting giddy of some thing they're putting in the game that could be 50 divines for 1 omen. Think about the average person playing the game. They're not over here running a mirror tier mace with other perfect gear. If the build only looks strong with giga investment then there is a problem. The average person is entering maps with 4-5k armour and 2000-2500 life and now probably 35% block. and 10 chaos res. What will that look like on warrior. Being slow, in melee range, getting hit by everything. You're over here talking about a 900 max damage mace man. come on. The runes were nerfed from 25% phys damage to 18% so you're going to be losing damage there as well. |

" I don't think they're entering with even 4-5k armour -- but what do I know lol. Everything else seems spot on for entering maps. The "average player" will be different things for different people. |

" Its been a while since I played through the campaign on non smith as I haven't played titan since .1. kitava definitely has terrible armour. mine has 3082 at lvl 87 with 3691 hp. Whenever I'm in t15s if i have to stop moving for more than about .5s I'm probably dead. The average player im talking about is someone who downloads the game, doesnt look at youtube videos and just picks what he thinks is ok. Which in warriors case, they will be incredibly weak and slow. |
