I'm done until GGG fix their game
It used to be decent for me at least..but that last patch did something that tanked optimization. And now I notice it too & I never had this problem before.
But then again, I quit after 92 this league and doing everything I wanted so not currently having to deal with it. Hope they fix it ahead of 0.4 |

" I do not think the issue would ever be fixed with the engine. It appears a rather fundamental one. Whoever says "beta" for a product, that's fully priced and sells whatever goodies as add-ons, can be freely qualified as misinformed one since calling them a troll would be an unnecessary insult. |

THis will never be fixed my dudes, you brand new POE 2 players who don't know GGG can't seriously think you're the first people to mention performance issues..
Performance issues are one of the biggest fundamental complaints about GGG in general, now for EVERY game they make lol. you should look at posts about POE 1 performance over the years -- it will always have performance problems -- always. |

Always shocks me when people have issues with games that they can't fix them. Tons of people have no problems at all... Computers are complicated and any combination of hardware/software can cause tons issues for a BETA game and may not exactly be easy to figure out and fix because replicating them isn't easy.
That said... Haven't had really any issues since launch. |

" There has been a league where performance was so bad for one streamer he had to run to the nearest big box store and buy another computer with zero matching hardware to ensure he could play. Then next league it was magically better. Playing this game for years... I've had 2 bugs that made the game unplayable. One was dogshit performance for a league, the other was a known bug in the conquerors quest line where you cannot progress. |

My very high end 4090 rig played just fine until very recently dropping from 100FPS down to 12 at times. The game has always had stutters that could be "fixed" by clearing chat logs and what not, but now it is hard to play.

1080p 30fps has been a standard for games for a long time and I bet you the recommended specs can do that just fine when everything is set to low or medium settings.
But anyway that is all subjective and not meaningful, I use to play PoE1 on a laptop with like 10-15 fps for a long time before I got a decent PC and had a blast. B E E F

POE 2 being in early access/Beta is absolutely not a valid excuse for the atrocious performance in 0.3.
And it was never this bad in poe 1 either. Some technical issue are to be expected during first period or and EA for sure, but the game has been out for about 9 month now. The game itself is pretty good, with a few more season it'll probably be excellent, but it's all ruined if it crashes every 40 minutes and makes you die to the 3fps hellscape on a regular basis. Just my personal opinion but I think performance and stability should be the number 1 priority at this point. Surely there are things that could be done in the way of optimisation. At least some option sliders to drastically reduce or even remove some of the visual effects, particules or lighting, surely this has to be possible. " Thats entirely incorrect. Early Access isnt Beta. Furthermore the issue is that new additions to the game make old mistakes. There is no learning effect. And its absolutely no excuse for shit performance of Abyss. Last edited by Alzucard#2422 on Sep 24, 2025, 1:10:21 PM
