I'm done until GGG fix their game

I can confirm.
Dying to teleporting Abyss monster after a "random" framerate drop is quite common and very frustrating "mechanic" introduced in the recent patch.

id pause everything and focus on more steady performance across all situations.
first things first.

if they just keep slapping things on top and modifying this and that it'll start to be an overwhelming task to undo the knots everywhere.

Fluid Motion Frames 2 has been the reason I can still play. A huge boost on FPS, haven't noticed any MS changes.

You people do realize that you are in a beta test... right?

If you want a fully finished and stable game, don't sign up to be a beta tester.

Thats entirely incorrect. Early Access isnt Beta.

Furthermore the issue is that new additions to the game make old mistakes. There is no learning effect.

And its absolutely no excuse for shit performance of Abyss.

Early Access is beta OR EARLIER, it always has been.

Early access, also known as alpha access, alpha founding, paid alpha, or game preview, is a funding model in the video game industry by which consumers can play a game in the various pre-release development cycles, such as pre-alpha, alpha, and/or beta, while the developer is able to use those funds to continue further development on the game. Those that pay to participate typically help to debug the game, provide feedback and suggestions, may have access to special materials in the game.

I pretty much disagree here. Early Access is more of a PR thing nowadays.

Excuse me my good man but I do not give a crap.
If ggg is going to put out a product with a price tag on it, it is perfectly legitimate to expect the product to be decently usable.
With that being said, sure we could have some technical issues early on, that's understandable, but these should probably be getting fixed 9 month after launch, not getting worse.
In any case performance should be the top priority at the moment, the current state of the game is just not acceptable.

You paid TO BE A TESTER. Testers don't just test perfect software, sometimes it's shit.

Performance is pretty damn bad right now, but whining about it isn't feedback. Filing (detailed) bug reports explaining the problems is useful. But failing to understand that when you signed up to test an unfinished game you signed up... to test an unfinished game is legitimately stupid.
Increase shadercache size to 100gb/unlimited. Reduce sound channels, disable steam precache and Try a rbar/sam with highest stable size up to total vram. Nvidia Smooth motion framegen also works nice and dynamic culling display less effects resulting in less shader lag. If You use vulcan, use DXGI in drivers to translate it to Dx12 for Windows, to fix buggy behavior.

Most of the issues are because game needs some user tweak to run. Not exactly 100% devs fault, but more like NVidia/AMD/Steam/Microsoft faults that they have Very bad default caching system and slightly because devs didnt accounted that. Devs could use their own better, like AAA games do, but I think even driver one is good enough with some tweak.

I have in most Hard fights drops to 30/60 (real/fake) fps with average pc. Game is playable and devs should make workarounds to fix it without need of tweaking. And then optimize.
