[Build of the Week Submission] [0.3.0] Rambo Wizard - His Scattering Calamity spell Titan

build is very cool to watch, i got staff helmet jewel and a grip with ele dr, but its simply not my playstyle.
Would be helpful to have snapshots or the setup before using the staff, i tried it at lvl 70 but like i said it's not my playstyle so i was surely playing it the wrong way.
I'm more on martial weapon side so who need gears just message me, 1 mirror for staff helmet and jewel

Spoiler
joke :D just send a message if you want em and we trade.

Hey Mate, saw this and thought I had to give it a try and it is such funny to play!
Definitely deserve all the praise yourself and the others that put this monster together!!!

My only question is, is there a limit on Cast speed at which point becomes diminishing returns?

Glad you're enjoying the build!
And yes there is a limit to cast speed. You actually don't want your cast speed to be too fast, since past a point you will be overwriting your calamity before they shoot out! So I'd say you want to control your cast speed to perhaps slightly above 3 times your orb hover duration, which you can see in your character sheet under the skill itself.
Thanks for That, my hover duration is 0.06 and I currently have my cast speed at 0.22s with my cast per second sitting at 4.65
So if I'm understanding everything I don't want to go any faster with cast speed so I don't overlap my wellsprites?

One of the more recent builds I have gotten really technical with as my last few have been "Grenade go Bang, enemies disappear"

Thanks again 😊

Edit, so I took of my rings that have cast speed which brings my cast speed to 0.3 which when I finish "Channeling" there is no more wellsprites, whereas with the ring on and the cast as above (0.22) when I finish Channeling I have a handful wellsprites still firing off
Looking at the animation, I can see that the sprites are firing off and not staying so they are been replaced as the shoot off

In your testing and understanding of the mechanics behind the build what would be your recommendation?

Ah I think I have caused some confusion. His scattering calamity has a hover duration as well as a firing frequency. It's the firing frequency you want to do 3 times of. So with our setup it's 1.2*0.2*0.65*0.7 = 0.1092 seconds times 3 = 0.3276

So yes you want to make it so your cast time is longer than this. I'm not entirely sure whether we need to add hover duration of 0.06 onto this value, but my cast speed was controlled to around 0.38 for good measures and it works fine. You definitely don't want to see the wellsprites accumulating, since that will imply lost damage. So yes I'd recommend you not wear the ring with cast speed.
Fantastic! I have made some adjustments and my cast speed is at 0.3 and no longer do I have left over sprites!
This is definitely a build I will be working with 😊

I haven't gone the life scaling route but instead picked up Zealots Oath and have started adding Energy Shield into to mix as we have got a decent amount of passives that help with that and armour and the Regen we are getting with Sacrifice of blood is keeping it up pretty regularly so it's a good extension to the effective health pool!

Is there a point in getting Crit Chance above 100%?

Awesome!

Currently in game there isn't really a point to get crit above 100% other than bifurcate, which isn't what this build can get anyways. So no, investing over 100% crit will not be useful here.
