I absolutely hate these slowing effects.

Silver charm, problem solved.

Yeah, not _nearly_ enough. I'm using the unique one and having a tight maps with the floor being 85% chilling ground ain't a thing i'm happy about.

Slot two silver charms. Put passive skill points into charm duration or reduced # of charges used. Etc.

The solution already exists.

I realize this is not your fault. YouTube recently recommended a video of TalkativeTri to me. And, wow, he is the worst PoE2 player I have seen stream. He vocally said that cilled ground needed to be nerfed. He has a megaphone, so other players believe it's true. I get it. But once you start playing better than he plays, you'll realize this isn't a big deal.
SSF Rise of the Abyssal Ice Strike Invoker, high survivability and fast clear speed. Deprioritize armor and resistances; prioritize crafting a weapon and faster start of ES recharge. Build is shown at level 47, end of Act 3. It tore through Act 3 like butter.

Most of the "feedback" you see often repeated in here can be traced back to one streamer or another. Those with megaphones complain about something, and lemmings just parrot it without any thought.

I hated chilled ground originally too, but after trying a silver charm it's not even a mod I notice anymore. A lot of these problems exist with solutions, but it's easier to cry for things to be nerfed than look for solutions.

There are plenty of valid issues, like the lack of any meaningful information on cause of death. But shit like chilled ground is nothing.
Dude. I have invested in these things. As i said, i dislike these personally. After 1000 maps, everytime i see these i groan. I have other issues which are not on this post. Just chill, it's my own feedback. Why you gotta whiteknight the company? :D

I literally have the unique silver charm but i also need the anti-freeze one and i swap between the stun charm and RoP. I know how to handle these, they are annoying.

If i want to run around with sprint and chilling ground is getting to me 80% of the run it's annoying.

Also temporal chains doesn't affect me. Again, because i took away from my defensives and amped it with runes. I know how to "deal with these".

[Removed by Support] Can these mechanics be improved to be less intrusive and actually contribute to the experience or no? Why you gotta be so damn aggressive, streamers have nothing to do with this. I don't even watch streamers, just putting out my own experience and apparently that's a trigger for you, poor guy. :(

I find these annoying, i aint alone and if they ease up on these - good. If they don't, they don't and that's that. But apparently to some giving feedback is a big nono and you only have to talk about the real issues! >:(

Temp chains duration should be cut in half, and chilled ground mag droped down to -20% MS.

This will make each unique (RN they both just give flat 30% slow zzzz) and increase the power of their relative mitigation measures making them more bearable.

It's not whiteknighting to point out that the solution to your problem already exists in the game. The whole point of the rock-paper-scissors style of debuffs vs defenses is that you need to find the things that are negatively affecting you and then find the ingame solutions to them.

It would be a different matter if things like silver charm didn't exist, but it does exist and it does completely solve the problem.

nah, all the slows should cap the speed, not reduce it. cap it to 15%MS, and make charms only trigger when you are hit

Silver. Charm. Is. Not. The. Solution. If. The. Ground. Is. 80% Ice patch and 20% ground.

And they are not in every map. I use silver charms, they are not enough - they will never, ever ever be enough. Especially for a melee builds in which the creeps are not affected by the chill but the moment your pinkie toe touches it - it slows you down to a slog.

I mean if i could make multiple "loadouts" in my trees in where i could go anti-curse / freeze / both or none at all, sure. But as it stands now the only thing i can ACTIVELY and EASILY work with are the charms. And they just aint enough.

Again - they don't pose a threat or a challenge, just a big groan-inducing annoyance. Do you see the difference? It's not fun, it's not engaging it's just "not this again.". How is that so hard to understand, this is how i feel about the mechanic, it feels ass.

I don't care about bleeds, poisons because most of the time i can play around them with charms and potions. I can react and play accordingly, i can be more careful.

Same goes for resistances and curses. I'm basically curse-immune now. I made that choice and even with the curse areas i can - in theory - dodge them (altho they are also complete ass to handle as a melee).

With something like chilling ground and as a melee-player it's just there. If mobs are there i WILL be slowed.

Like. Imagine going outside and wanting to walk on your lawn and make some barbeque on the grill in the middle of the lawn. But the lawn is just full of crap, everywhere. And the grill is in the middle of a big batch of it.

Now you could use some sort of big shoes or clear out a path to and around the grill. Hell, maybe you could even use a charm so you're immune to stepping on crap for 3 seconds.

But at the end of the day - the lawn is still full of dookie and you'd much rather it not be, you just want to cook some nice barbeque and you still can, but the crap everywhere just makes it NOTICEABLY more unenjoyable.

Not more fun, not more "challenging", not more engaging, just unenjoyable. Annoying.

That's how i feel about it.

It's just feedback in maybe they can improve on it. Make it a tad bit more convenient to handle. Make more modifiers so that it's not MOST MAPS.

I also have a minion witch and that specific mechanic has 0-impact on that class. None what so ever. Nothing has. Same for my mercenary. Aside from being annoyed when i sprint.

But for my Monk and Warrior those things are tilting me hard.

I don't care about mobs with chilling ground, hinder auras, slow bubbles altho it can get occasionally overkill. But chilling ground just pisses me off.

anyone replying as a deadeye player only is not allowed to talk about this topic :)
the issue is also the game balance. You cant reduce the effect of those slows if you are not specing bottom/right side of the tree.

Charms is a bad solution. Any "conditionnal" or temporary effect is a bad choice. We need serious options for every class to counter this.
The game pace is already slow without tailwind, imagine if we didnt get the sprint...

The only time the game feels amazing and playable is with a Speed Shrine, where my bloodmage reach the same walking base speed as my deadeye. It is not balanced

temp chains is only 7% for me and i dont even care about chills anymore
