Thank You For The Late Game Tower Changes GGG - But...
In the video, Jonathon explains the monster density changes to specifically lower tier maps. Afterwards, he implies there is another monster density change that will effect all tiers by saying "Maps with very open layouts will have slightly less mob density". - https://youtu.be/50ykp-2-_iw?si=JTPvW58Owlo33uyz&t=194
So is this monster density change to more open layouts only in earlier content? Or does the change affect all tiers of open layouts? While it will be nice, I do not think it will be well-received to nerf MFing further overall. I feel like it's in a pretty good spot after all the attention it's already received. I think that if the change is aimed at progression in maps, the changes to monster density should just be restricted to lower map tiers, and the open layouts should spawn the same amount. If the change is aimed at balancing maps overall, I think more closed in layouts should receive updates to have a few more open areas, because these are just nicer to run. A good example is the Spider Woods change, the map feels really great now. Last edited by AverBeg7#1689 on Sep 26, 2025, 4:16:54 AM Last bumped on Sep 26, 2025, 4:18:39 AM

They wrote that they will multiply the effect of tablet by 2 to 3.
Meaning it’s a nerf in extreme case that you have 4 towers overlap. But overall it’s just way better. |

Monster density will be lower at T1 maps and grow slowly to get to T15.
T15 density havent been change as explained in the video. SSF player Last edited by BlastYa#4875 on Sep 25, 2025, 10:07:09 PM

" I did not see that. If that's the case, then there is really not much to worry about in terms of precursors. " It was not the lower monster density at lower waystone tiers that worried me, it was the change to open layouts overall spawning less monsters. Which I don't think was specifically stated that it would only be on lower tiers. Most of my good maps in late-game are open layouts, specifically because of the amount of monsters. I dunno how it's gonna feel because I can't test it yet, but if this change is directed at progression then I dunno why it's not just less monsters at lower tiers, and why we also need this nerf to open layouts at the same time. " More or less i'm afraid too.. In my opinion for "normal players" in most cases and endgame part of non-mega juiced maps density of monsters were good.. At least you didnt need waste so much time to get EXP.. now i will need use a lot of maps to get somewhere and every map will be slower due to various boss fights.. Also it removes posibilities of different "goal" to complete map except "kill the boss + all rares" (of "all rares" will even remain) |

" Yes, it just feels kind of weird to do both at the same time to fix what ultimately is the same problem. I would think 30% less monsters for someone in an open map with lower waystone tier and less map modifiers would be working already. Nerfing the top-end for a change that's aimed at progression is a bit weird. Unless they are just trying to bring the maps more in line with each other, but then I would think it should be better to give the closed in maps a few more open spaces. It would just be nicer to run in general. I love what they did with Spider Woods, for example. Making it less of a stretch and more oblong made it a lot nicer. You guys just might want to read the post about this.

" I read the post, I do not see what you're talking about. If you're talking about precursors being more powerful; the discussion has changed from that subject. I have updated the main post to reflect this. Last edited by AverBeg7#1689 on Sep 26, 2025, 2:16:15 AM

" Not well, as I see. Less mobs IS focused into low tier maps and t15 is same as now. Problem? |

" They also say, open layouts in general will spawn less monsters, and they do not say it is limited it to lower tiers. Can you find where it says that the less monsters spawning on more open layouts is exclusive to lower tiers? It seems like a separate change if you watch the video. |
