Boss on every map = SUX
IMO here's what happened:
People didn't like hunting the rares cause it took too long. They just wanted to blast the map fast because what they were trying to do is path to one or more towers. But now there's no reason to path to a tower so people would prefer just hunting juiced rares and maybe sometimes doing a boss. They put a fix in to solve the annoyance of getting to towers but also then removed any reason to go to a tower so it's kind of conflicting changes. I would like the rare indicators back because, at least early - mid maps, you have to spend a lot of limited currency to juice it and you'll want to basically full clear each map. I quit the season because I don’t like spending this much time on bosses that are not worth the effort. It's nice to be able to customize content on every map, but a boss every time for pathetic drops? Not my thing. I briefly considered unspeccing every node on the boss atlas to get them over with quicker, but that's just a ridiculous thing to feel the need to do, but that's where we are now.

" is it that ridiculous to take difficulty out of your tree? I know it feels bad but it's not really ridiculous, it's the essentially the same as choosing to skip the boss; just get less rewards and delete it |

Notice how the majority of people who hate bosses on every map have barely played the game and never played poe 1.

grand project every tower > access to all maps > go into map, kill everything BUT the boss > exit > put next map in in the next node > continue to progress atlas like pre-patch.
This is the only workaround to "progressing your atlas" while avoiding the bosses all together (which is impossible to do on ssf consistently, GG) which you should. they drop absolute garbage, because tiered rare gear is useless. no one, NO ONE cares about t5 rare gear. they rather a white or blue item than that. and 99% of every boss is this loot + 1-2 waystones...whooo... ![]() If bosses dropped good loot, the change would be alright. but they don't, so the change sux ballz. |

" But... What are you playing to be able to comfy do ''juiced T16's delirium'', but not a single map boss? Also, T16's are something only wealthy players are able to do since you need good maps, vaals, etc. Just so we are clear: I hate the patch, too. I dislike almost everything GGG is doing with this game because they just seem to want players to go away, but what you just wrote doesn't make actually sense, IMHO. |

" This is puzzing me too seeing the various complaints. What were people doing before that they haven't the ability to kill a regular map boss? DO people not build around this and use something that clears and something that for kill bosses? Or they just didn't bother, rather farming maps as fast as possible with their youtube guide build? |

" The issue is, when I want to fight a boss, I want it as angry and mean as I can, and perhaps get a decent drop out of it. I just don't always want to run them, just like I don't always want to run any other mechanic we find in maps. If I don't want to run rituals, I don't add them and leave the circles alone when I find them. Bosses, I can't ignore if I want to finish maps. I have several characters, some specialized for high speed high density content, some good at single target and some generalists. I can't run my zoomies anymore, because bosses take longer than I find enjoyable and it's breaking the vibe I'm playing for when I play those characters. I'm certainly not going to rebuild my atlas every time I log on to another character. We can skip every type of content now, EXCEPT bosses, and that's a step back for me.
