Sekhemas is by far the better ascendancy trial. And Chaos can't be realisticalyl used for the third ascendancy. If the devs worked on giving us a new Ascendancy trial instead of 600 "abyssal" mechanics, it would have been great. I'd rather do Sekhemas 100 times than do more Temple of Chaos with the unoptimized tileset that always lags. The mandatory curses that make it completely RNG. And the randomized boss battles which include the one-shot bird and the 30 minutes-long Dragon. " High elem res? Doesn't matter. Honor is based off the damage you take. So all defences you have which reduce damage actually reduce the amount of honor you lose. If you have 75% Fire Resistance, and take 1000 Fire damage, you only lose 250 honor. Hence all sorts of damage reduction are still useful. So be happy, if you get good resists and armor it WILL help. " High ES? Doesn't matter. Max ES contributes to your maximum honor. So does Max Life. Even Max Mana contributes to maximum honor if you use Mind over Matter. " Great life or ES recovery? Doesn't matter This is indeed the difference. All recovery-based builds are at a disadvantage in Sekhemas. But that's fine. Because there are supposed to be other trials. " being crippled during a part of the game that is REQUIRED for character advancement, Meh the first ascendancy is really easy on 0.3.0. Worst case scenario you have to wait 5 or 10 levels before getting it, but it should be really easy if you do that. For later ascendancies there should just be more trials available. Iv said it many times, personally i love sekhema! I dont enjoy the Trail masters stuff, where i feel i must be able to handle anything all the time. I "think" and hope they will add in 2 more trial ways so that as you do the full story mode you get your full ascendancy done, and you are setup for the endgame fully :) One part in act 4 really feels like it could be one. I mean sure it was a bit long… but what’s the difference between that and doing a bunch of maps back to back? Looking back I’d say it was very enjoyable having to navigate through traps and all. Izaro was a memorable boss fight. I didn’t get to experience sanctum and ultimatum. My potato couldn’t handle the game anymore halfway into harvest league.
