Something is terribly wrong with Shaders since 3.27

I sure hope Mirage doesn't have back-ported PoE 2 assets which will make my shader bar be maxed out for 5 minutes until they finally load just like how Breach 2.0 took forever to load in 3.27 ha-haa

/s

Shaders are still cooked, and the game takes up unnecessary CPU usage while trying to load the bricked-up corrupted shaders too. Fix it.

They can't fix the lack of power of your hardware.
Flames and madness. I'm so glad I didn't miss the fun.

Its not our hardware, its their coding and assets/shaders, especially with DX12. And also....bump.

Yeeap, people with high-end PCs are having the same long loading screens/shader bar being maxed problems since 3.24 or something. Funny how I can run newer games at 60 fps perfectly fine, yet PoE mysteriously gets worse performance with each patch.

Its the game and the back-ported PoE 2 stuff making it worse. It even locks itself to 30 fps now when you click a Bismuth in an outdoor map, and the fps totally dies and goes down to 10 in Burial Chambers if you have bismuth+other particle effects. The game engine is literally dying when that happens.

1000000%. On a 5080 9800X3D. Can run pretty much every other game at max settings with no issues except my power bill crying except for POE. Had zero issues before and have ran the gambit of possible fixes IE renderer changes, back dated drivers, POE Uncrasher, renderer swaps, etc etc etc. Only thing that has worked for me is a full system wipe, swaping the shader file in cmd window to a different SSD, and using Vulkan. The first week sucked while Vulkan had to redownload all the assets again as they were encountered but its fine now...for being Vulkan. I still hit the occasional freeze but not as bad as with DX12.
BUMP!

This.
here's cope (not even hope) that they fix this disaster on the 3.28 patch.. otherwise it's going to be a very long 8 month cycle with awful shaders and pixelated gameplay in 2026.
"Parade your victories, hide your defeats. Mortals are so insecure."

"The strange voice showed Aul a future where his legacy was forgotten, where new cultures broke themselves upon Aul's ruined world."

Take me back when poe was the actual focus.
I had long startup times, long loading screens, game freezing until shaders reloaded, game freezing when lot of entities were being loaded in at same time
I managed to fix my issue doing following:

Press win +r and type %appdata%
go back one level and go to "name"/AppData/Local
go to NVIDIA folder and locate DXCache (directx renderer) GLCache(Vulkan)
delete largest files (poe shader file for me was 64gb, but i deleted all larger than 16mb).

Try it out maybe this will fix your issues like it did mine.
