Locking a large portion of map juicing behind Arbiter

The system sounds good until you are the guy with HORRIBLE citadel finding luck ^^
PoE has the progression better set up, no bullshit RNG steps. At worst I have to reroll a UE fragment with harvest.

And yes, I have him done. But I died 20 times. because my buil is ot good enough for endgame bosses yed. But I absolutely need teh mapping huice since my char is a mapper.

You don't NEED, you will continue to breathe. The sun will come out tomorrow. There is a big difference between wants and needs.

i just got to t14 maps and i have 6 citadels on my screen.

They buffed the citadel spawn rate significantly. Also i cant see how you would be done with a build by the time you got to t15 maps.

This shines light on another problem. Its too easy to get to high tier maps. Sometimes you just completely skip farming tiers of maps. like if you run a t1 and drop a t2 you might never run another t1. you can get lucky and skip like 10 tiers of real progression. Poe1 forced you to do at least 4-8 or so maps of each tier to get completion bonuses.

Now people think theyre basically done with the game before they even get to arbitor.

These problems are entirely fabricated in your own brain. They're not actual problems.

They're only problems because you don't have any real problems. Or as some would say, "first world problems"

You should be grateful that this is what you're complaining about and not something that is game breaking.

My character is lvl89 and all I did was clear two corrupted zones next to the start area. If you're in trade league and make a good build you can skip map tiers and level fast. I didn't brute force content I couldn't do. I ran a bunch of T7s, then T12s, before moving to T15s. My character only has one death, to a monkey slam oneshot.

So I've barely explored the world map and am almost done with the build. If I want to have a better mapping experience I'd have to stop playing the game and instead run T1 maps in a random direction until I find all the bosses. That's bad game design. I'm never going to find those bosses anytime soon by playing "naturally". Natural mapping to me is going and clearing good corrupted maps and then cleansing the rest and clearing those.

This. The first thing I did when entering maps buy T10 waystones for like 3 or 4 exalts at the time. Found my char could handle it. I went from like 65 -> 75 in 2 maps. Then I bought some gear, bought T15 waystones. They were still a bit too much so I went back to 12s for a bit and now I'm comfortably enough doing T15s with a few upgrades - though the T15s aren't full juice I need to keep some portals just cause stuff can still one shot me. I've maybe cleared like 15 nodes in total.

Too much character power is locked behind level 78 - 80 requirement items. I don't want to waste time running low tier waystones for 80 maps.

The T15s are way harder than they used to be. Last league I could slowly do T15s with my characters coming out of the interludes. The EXP gain was great lol.

This all feels like
"before you can do Mephisto runs for loot, you have to kill Uber Baal"
Very very backwards and odd. Probably just a quick filler they did because real endgame overhaul is in 0.5 (hopefully).

Voidstones in poe1 were a bit annoying too, but voidstones only increased your chances to drop higher tier maps (and thus tier17 maps), and lets be honest, was just a nice QoL because you didnt need to worry whether to pick or not pick up maps, all maps became good with all voidstones.
The only annoying voidstone was the final Maven one, screw that fight, screw it so damn much, other bosses were actually doable and fun achievement without needing to leave your employer.

Voidstones themselves did not affect loot drops in tier16 maps and you could grind for loot in your existing tier16's until you could get all the voidstones.

of course the meta was to rush the voidstones, because indirectly that yielded more currency because tier17 maps were valuable on the market.

I agree, the pinnacle content should largely just be mount Everest "because it's there" stuff just to strive to achieve it. I mean they can drop great loot too that's fine.

I just don't know the monoliths need a functional reason for us to want to do them.

Having played the league, here's my feedback on the tablets. Locking rare tablets behind beating Arbiter doesn't feel good. It's a significant amount of juice and it's all mainly just buffs for more content and drops that you can't get until you beat Arbiter.

It feels like a chore you need to do by rushing T1 maps to find all the bosses you need to kill asap before you can enjoy juicing maps.

If you try to play normally by progressing map tiers and juicing along the way, like you normally would, it takes a lot longer to find the bosses. By the time you find the bosses and kill them you'll probably be like lvl95 and almost ready to quit the character/league.

Bro what do you want? Cut all the feeling of progression? I dont get it, you want to fully juice maps with 3 rare tables right on tier 1? That literally makes no sense. Its so easy to kill the arbiter, you can just buy the keys if you want to rush, and i did it at day 3 of the league.

I really dont understand this idea. Being able to achieve better content through progression gives us objectives. Geez, ppl want everything on a platter these days

Just purchase the keys and go in. You have unlimited tries to kill him.

He is easy especially if you do low damage so he uses his mechanics properly. In my case I had to deal with 3 mechanics at the same time due to his new second phase, its bugging out if you do too much damage.

But overall it doesn't have so much hp. If you can't kill it, you don't need 4 mods tablet tbh because you will not be able to sustain them. You need to do t15 maps without dying. Afterall, if you want to juice with tablets you need 2 prefix with proper mods such as Rare monster increase, Rarity increase, Efficieny increase tc. You need 2 of them on a tablet, which is not common.

But something needs to be done so people enjoy just playing the game no matter what part of the game they're currently at; rather than setting their sights on hitting "max" level so they can "start the real game" and find out they don't even gorram like the game.

That's my analysis too. There aren't many endgame goals yet, so a lot of players focus on level 100 and getting their currency numbers as high as possible. And then they complain when it's hard to achieve those goals.

The game needs a fleshed out endgame with early-access versions of achievements that people can earn at all levels over 65. Just repeating what you already said. Hopefully coming soon.
Evasion-only melee character that can kill Ubers with cheap gear (SSF Rise of the Abyssal), no armor, no energy shield, 62k eHP:

I think some of you guys need to go play ssf for a while.

You think the game has a problem because as soon as you got to maps you started buying t10 maps.

YOU are the problem. Not the game.
