A Lesson To Be Learned From Diablo 4

People often have no idea what they want and often give bad out-of-scope suggestions that wouldn't even solve the problems they themselves have with the game.

They are listening to the community. The problem is scale and scope.

You think because you come on here that most people are unhappy with the game. Which is just not true. Negative user bias is a real thing. You go to any game on planet earth and their forums/feedback is going to be 90% negative.

GGG listens to constructive feedback and have been since .01

I think ya'll need to realize(not you personally) that the vast majority of the community is happy with the direction of the game. They just don't come on the forum and praise.

The numbers died off harder than any Diablo league that ever existed.

D4 is bad. I played it recently, and was again embarrassed that I spent money on it/gave money to nublizz.

POE 2, is a vastly superior product in it's current early access state, than D4 has been, and will ever be.

If there is one thing that GGG should never do, is trying to be more like D4.

Diablo died when Blizzard North left the building. Diablo 4 is not a good game and it will never be a good game.

POE 2 is an extraordinary game and it will become even better in the future.

I am a POE 2 player. I played POE 1 briefly. Don't come here with an appeal to authority fallacy. I don't have to be a POE 1 player to have an opinion on POE 2. Which is the topic of discussion BTW.

The most interesting thing is that I've already participated in projects and even gone to game jams, and not only that, I have a degree in digital game development, mainly applied to high schools and elementary schools, and I can assure you that in terms of direction, this game is a tremendous mess. I can't even imagine what the meetings must be like.

With that kind of budget, the team they have, and my knowledge of countless games I've played, ranging from hardcore titles like Escape from Tarkov and Arma to Super Mario Bros. on Nintendo or even a Hello Kitty bakery, if the game were called anything other than Path of Exile 2, I guarantee it would be easily forgettable, easily a 6/10.

But because they have the monstrous mechanics of Path of Exile 1, the game received a hype that unfortunately didn't live up to expectations.

At this point, after so much time – including playing Path of Exile 1 from the very beginning, and Path of Exile 2 from day one and since version 0.1 – very little has been done to fulfill Chris's promises.

Chris promised us a big change in melee combat; he just forgot to tell us it was for the worse.


They should never called this game POE 2.
