Mass Ban people who exploit currency so bad it trashes the economy.

The economy is the worst I have ever seen in PoE 2 right now. New players will get turned off not finding anything affordable in the auction house to progress. They do not have the skill to do SSF so... good luck obtain a new audience.
Also my main beef is this game not crashing but eventually I freeze on a 4090 / i9 13900 that happens to frequent. Freeze, see gears, 5 minutes later im back in action usually twice an hour. |

"mass ban the 1%ers!", "they don't care about the game!"
meanwhile this dude brags about being an average player, while trying to dictate what others do, what the outcomes are for others, and tries to make the game worse for others intentionally, just because he doesn't want to put in effort |

Why ban? Early access like most beta clients is meant to test, find, and resolve issues.
Players just found weaknesses in game mechanics. This is good for GGG - the sooner things get discovered and patched the better. Next time the devs need to put more effort into asking the right questions during the design phase before implementing them in game. For example, at what level can players interact with the mechanic? Are we sure we should put this device in a fixed active location in campaign? We know instances can be reset, should we proceed? |

Youve been playing the game for at least 10 years, if you are struggling to make currency at this point thats a you problem.

" The problem is people just dont understand what the rules are, nor do they get the difference between abusing in game mechanics, abusing an exploit, abusing a bug, and cheating. Each one is a different level and the first two are not really bannable by most companies TOS for a variety of reasons. For example the ritual thing with rerolling infinite times was bug abuse, thats why people got banned. It was not a "clever use of game mechanics" nor was it really an exploit. Holton was an exploit but it was not using bugs. It was just exploiting the fact that the game is hard coded to A) spawn temple in same spot in holton all the time, B) allow players to reset instances, C) allow party play. Because of these three things, holton could be "exploited" to provide endless crystals for people through using party play and resetting instances. But is that really bannable? And who do you ban? Do you ban anyone who did it once? Ten times? What about the people who after the holton hotfix then just stayed low level or even rerolled to farm holton, then died on purpose to lose XP which is also hard coded into the game? Do we ban people for intentionally dying now? Thats why people dont get banned for these things, too many grey areas and the onus to release a game that doesnt have these kinds of exploits is on GGG not the playerbase. " GGG said that they'll ban exploiters who crash servers, duplicate items, not people that abuse an unintended interaction (if they did, most Cast on Damage Taken players from PoE1 would be banned). The ritual abuse was centered around a tablet, that directly said it would allow you to reroll an infinite amount of times. Stacked that with reduced reroll and deferral cost. In turn, people were allowed to reroll a NEARLY infinite amount of times. - This was intended, or they just blatantly didn't think about what they were adding into the game What wasn't intended, was that it reset when you closed the window, so people abused it and got items literally for free. Supposedly, people got banned for it, but as streamers showed it off with no punishment, I wouldn't be surprised if they just banned macro users who spammed the exploit, like with any other exploit. Another "exploit" that happened, was the Acolyte of Chayula's darkness not counting for honor damage, which in turn made it so that the market was spammed with Temporalis. They fixed it, nothing bad happened to the people who did it. Another "exploit" that happened, was the dupe/reroll caused by people force-crashing GGG's servers in order to rollback what they got. This got fixed, people got obviously banned for doing it. Another "exploit" that happened and was spammed by anyone doing the mechanic, was Abyss in PoE1 extending the paths whenever it wanted to go over ledges (hence the Lighthouse map spam). Instead of going from ground/ledge to a point on the ledge/ground, it marked a point and went all the way around. Nothing happened to people who abused it. For a clown such as you, you can currently still do the holten "exploit" with low-level rooms by running clearfell (the first charge spawns near the exit) and just resetting the instance. Noone got banned for this either, because it's just a mechanic |

PoE2 = alpha game, not tested at all. GGG testing on production and monetizing unfinished product like final one. Shame.
PoE2 = Patch of Slog

The actual current problem is easy to see: legacy temples. For those poe1 gamers just coming in here to (rightfully) trash the OP, GGG decided to nerf the league mechanic in a specific way which blocks anyone from building OP temples.
But as for the OP temples already existing, they still do. And they do not decay. You can block effectively any change of your temple when you are at this point. Simply put, the rich guys keep their op temples while the slower casual gamers or just guys who where in the midst of rebuilding etc are basically fucked. This will further escalate the whole issue. Its not about some dudes exploiting a mechanic for profit, Its some dudes exploiting a mechanic for profit while GGG blocks all other players from doing the same. Pretty stupid right?^ Current Build: Penance Brand
