Does this mean Phrecia ascendancies are finally coming to the base game?

They will do a balance pass on all Phrecia ascendancy classes for the coming event. Wouldn't it be great if that means they are preparing them to be added to 3.28? It would be so fun to have twice the amount of ascendancy options next patch, being able to choose from the standard classes AND the new ones!

POE2 should be the ruthless vision experience and POE1 should be the zoom power fantasy sandbox to capture both audiences.
I petition to return all the fun stuff that was removed or nerfed over the years back into POE1.

You mean how they added several as bloodline ascendancies, even if some only partially?
It is totally possible that they will use parts of Phrecia ascendancies for base class reworks (such as Ascendant?), but the sheer power level of these classes would be too much for the base game. They're great for short events, but it's best to not get used to it

I am cautiously optimistic. A full balance pass does feel like more than just event level effort. It would make a lot of sense to polish them now if they plan to roll them into 3.28, but I am keeping expectations in check.

Thats exactly the point. It will be trickle fed to us over a long period. As new keystones, bloodlines, uniques etc.

They will also heavily nerf whatever they add to main game into a state of unexciting.

Its the various new stacking method nodes that are broken. Most of what remains after stacking nodes is actually not THAT impressive.

No, they’re all way more powerful and completely busted compared to the regular classes, which is exactly why GGG doesn’t just toss them into the game and is actively balancing them for the upcoming event.

Also, complaining about stacking is kind of wild when stacking something is basically the entire game lol

Take paladin, how many nodes are OP in his set?

Level 30 aura, that still requires reserving mana? 650 flat armour and 3% more armour over level 21 determination for 2 ascendancy points? Is the broken part that you do not need to have 159 str or save one gem slot? Lol.

Nearby enemies take 25% increased ele damage? Nothingburger not in any way stronger than comparable offensive nodes in base game.

Summon elemental relic node same as already in base game.

Bring the battle? Infinite power warcries node already in the game. Other bonuses generic, not stronger than 30% increased warcry buff effect on chief. I especially like the "deals less damage to other targets" - very useful, very busted.

Link nodes? Lol.

Utility flask effect 40%? Improvement over Pathfinders node? Yes. Busted? No.

Where is the busted? Not found? Your turn - pick phrecia ascendacy and go over nodes one by one and point out what is busted. Keep in mind "stacking" nodes dont count as I already said those are the only busted ones.

Moving on.

Stacking as in getting more of single offensive or defensive stat is not stacking which people complain about.
GGG has proven they cannot keep in check the stacking archetype. I will spell it out for you, cause you are playing dumb: stacking archetype is when stacking one input stat allows for simultaneous increasing of multiple output stats, often both defensive and offensive at the same time.
