GGG what did you do to campaign bosses, and why?

This would be fair if it was a ruthless event. It's an event highlighting the different ascendancy's, and most won't ever get to see the full power of them because they are run off before they have a chance. If this wasn't advertised as it was and explained that it was going to be a league where you just hit respawn 900 times before the end of the campaign that's fine. Ruthless mode is NOT harder.....not really. It is about SCARCITY first and foremost.

There is absolutely nothing related to "scarcity" in Phrecia 2.0. You have items being printed everywhere, you have exorbitant power in ascendancies, you have the genesis tree, you have uber juiced endgame play for resources.

It couldn't be further from Ruthless design if it tried.


It's just "harder" in certain places.....that's it. Its not HC, Its not SSF, Its not Ruthless: it is its own thing.



The issue is no one that played this event last time saw this coming so it's a mess. You are simply wrong on "scarcity" because I can't get decent loot starting off, sure once I get 8 ascendency points (won't happen) and have everything worked out I bet it's amazing, the vast majority don't want to struggle like crazy to get to that point that's why so many gave up after day one. This event is a failure and worse it will chase off any new players that tried it.

I don't understand the hyperbole. Yes, it's harder, but when I (a FAR from good player) can get through the campaign with 4 deaths with one lab done, people getting 900 deaths aren't really trying.

The event is fun - and it offers something different. I appriciate different in an event.

900 deaths was clearly hyperbole.

I’ve played this game since it was three acts only. I’m not great, but I do fine. The Malachai fight ended it for me. Trying to dodge the beams while getting hit by multiple other things and then him teleporting as soon as I got to him, it’s just unnecessary it makes it not fun.

I don’t mind the gauntlet part, at least up to that point, but the first thing I thought of after beating Malachai was this boss I typically have little issue with but with all the new mechanics if this is actually 4 I just don’t want to give more time to see the ignorance in at 9. 🤷‍♂️
