I still have no idea what kills me half the time and am so sick of random 1 shots with a meta build.

Can do 10 juiced maps in a row and my health doesn't move. Randomly will get 1 shot with nothing on the screen pretty much. Usually by non-rare monsters too.
Pretty sure this has been a complaint since the game was released. I don't mind dying when I make a mistake, but when i am randomly running around mapping and have no idea what killed me, that is terrible game design imo. At least let us know what we died to too. This game has such great potential but is just plagued with so many poor design choices that it has such a huge negative impact overall. Just my opinion. Last bumped on Feb 1, 2026, 12:58:59 PM

The mistake is you not investing enough into defenses.

Unfortunately, people who ask about your defenses (even if they truly wish to help, unlike specific guy with "you don't know how to build armor, I do but I won't explain it, posting 100th thread to look down on people") are deceiving themselves. Your deaths are decided by RNG, not skill, not strategy, not price of your gear, and not time spent. Scaling is so wild that you WILL meet something that oneshots you, matter of time. This is why exp penalty is so frustrating in this game. |

" The OP is dying because of lack of Blind. The exact numbers that the OP posted, plus 200% Blind effect, will create a character that is near immortal to attacks, except boss red attacks. OP, spec into Blind, and make sure your Wind Dancer has Blind II and Knockback.
