Are bots running wild on instant trade?
"Yeah, now they just need to keep sniping automagically till they move the price up. Different methods, same result, same motivation. I encourage GGG to prove me wrong by implementing 1000% anonymous async trade and remove direct player to player and seeing how much the RMT bots drop off. "If they move the price up by buying stuff, then that's the real price, because they expect to sell it at a higher price, right? It's not same result, now you know what the real price is. Before, you could sell a 20 divines div card/cluster jewel for 1 divine, and think you did a good deal, because first 100 listings were at a lower price. Easy to fix. Slight nerf to the legit item snipers, but can be undone once GGG actually has detection against the botters. |

The most predictable thing that a ton of people predicted actually happened.
Not exactly a shocker. We're solidly in a pick your poison kind of situation. If you're good with asynchronous trading, you have to find a way to be okay with the downsides of it -- especially in a game where accounts are free to spam create. Thanks for all the fish! " This. I pick my poison asycnhronous. |

So, I've noticed that for in-person trading (in town), you needed to have a character with at least lvl 25 to sell orbs.
Is there no such limit for semi-automatic item buying ? And for semi-automatic item selling, you can unlock Faustus early by trying to buy, but you still need to have an hideout, so not before mid-Act 2 ? |

Its rate limited via gold, which means by the time you've cleared half the atlas there isn't really a barrier from that and that is by design.
They did not want rate limits on trading. They did not want soulbinding. They did not want barriers to trading. Chris Wilson was on the money when he said that the issue is, and always has been, RMT. The big problem with RMT is that you can only really control whether or not you RMT. You should not RMT, your guild should not RMT, your friends should not RMT. If you or your guild or your friends are RMTing, you're the problem. IGN : Reamus

" So now we are victim blaming? Instead of asking why people RMT to begin with? It's due to the awful drop rates and the game is unrewarding so people feel the need to RMT. I don't RMT but I have friends who do and they don't have time to sit there for hours to grind out 3 divs. |
|
" Lazy and unskilled people will always RMT regardless of drop rates because they just want everything handed to them on a plate. Increase drop rates & that item some noob doesn't want to grind 3 divs for will just become that item that some noob doesn't want to grind 10 divs for. |

" Look, the game does not feel rewarding enough by most players. You can play for hours and not get any decent upgrade in the end game. Are you really suggesting the drop rates are fine? This game has nothing to do with skill, it's al RNG + Time. Play long enough and you will get those drops. GGG needs to admit they are catering to hardcore audience because this game is not for casuals. The only decent drop rate has been temple this league and even that requires massive amounts of time to min/max but at least you get rewarding loot. If you think there is skilled involved in this game, you are delusional. This whole game is KNOWLEDGE + Time + RNG. |
