Too much crafting is ruining the game
|
Its getting boring, dropped items are worthless, uniques are generally worthless and not worth picking up only crafted stuff are worth something, only crafting items are worth picking up and the prices are insane compared to normal drops because their power levels are insane. you could add loot filter that filters out any not currency/crafting items and not lose any valuable drops.
you dont only need all you gear crafted, not only you need to drop crafting orbs on every map you also need to craft the tablets. you spend more time in your chest and trading than actually punching stuff in the face. For every map add x orbs, vaal it, hope for 16, then try to craft good tablets... You dont get upgrades because you killed a monster and it dropped something good, you either craft them or farm boring stuff to buy them. Rare drops don’t feel rare, it’s just a magic item with more probability to have more bad modifiers. Unless a rare item says (Tier 4 or 5) it’s likely not even worth looking at. I would rather have a magic item with a T1 mod as the foundation for crafting, or a normal item instead of a rare item.
The worst part in my opinion is the abundance of items in endgame while still having the scroll of wisdom mechanic and not having Items partially identified for better readability while it’s still on the ground. It’s extremely time consuming and an eye strain to manually sift through the junk to look for an item with 1 or 2 good mods. I would not care if endgame had low level items on the ground, like a lvl 5 item. As long as I could actually tell what level it was before picking it up would be great. And to know what range of Tiers it would have, specifically for endgame, would be great. -side note The market is extremely bad for low lvl items which would suck for new players. People are literally charging endgame currency for a lvl 14 item. This abomination needs to cease. Maybe there could be low level item drops in endgame, but drop high level items in rare chest. You are only really rewarded in endgame after reaching the absolute final boss of rare drops with your atlas passives filled. Otherwise we are just swimming in doodoo items and requiring an eye doctors appointment and psychiatric therapy after dying because your screen was covered in items (skill issue) Imo it is also fun picking up items that are above your level, which is a very rare occasion in this game. This game revolves around itemization but the drop mechanics still have room for a lot of improvement. Last edited by TwitchGLHFsport#2155 on Feb 16, 2026, 2:41:59 PM

+1
Very few things feel good when seeing them drop. Majority of uniques are useless, majority of rares are useless. I don't think I've ever found an upgrade from a drop past level 50 or so. |

it tooks me around 5 months to get an upgrade for my 97 bloodmage. the loot is too bad, and crafting mechanics are worst.

Agree. Loot is bad. Most uniques are bad. Crafting is terrible.

The worst part is when you randomly DO get a good rare in the like 1/50000 case and it makes you not want to skip checking them incase it's good.

I think the issue with crafting is too much busy work for little to no meaningful upgrades
And i personally don't lke the Tiered currency system, creates both an abundance and a uselessness of currencies while progressing, bad feelings However, game is not complete yet, so i don't think it's fair to complain about crafting just yet Unlike combat, wich is the foundation of the 10 years to come ;) |

Game is sweaty.
Way too sweaty. Full of nonsense to waste your time. Multiple tiers of currency .... why!!!? To gate items in another layer of rng ... Low RNG MID RNG and HIGH RNG give me a break ... collapse orbs back to their one true form. Everything is stymie. Everything feels cheap. If it's useful it too late acquired. If it's strong it has a downside that makes it useless. If its fun , it kills you(sprint) If it boring and tedious then its required. Its like watching someone choke to death on their fist. Just stop.... |

From my experience, the loot that drops is more to viewed as bases for crafting than to be outright perfect pieces of gear ready to slot. I dont think trying to farm for gear and hoping to get awesome, useful upgrades right out the box is wise. That would be very frustrating for me if i viewed it that way and had that expectation.
It is totally possible to craft awesome gear from the dropped bases. I focus on white and blue gear to craft on and generally avoid yellow. This has worked great for me. If I would dive deeper into crafting, im positive i could make much better gear. Uniques seem to be more for specialized builds that would revolve around mechanics with one or two uniques. Hence the name Unique? I cant see them being useful outside that. I have seen people play craaazy incredible builds using uniques in ways i never would have thought to use them. It would be unwise to equate Unique with, lets say, a Legendary type weapon from an MMO. Like the be all, end all top tier piece of gear. Thats not the purpose i see for them. |
