No kirc mod and Nightmare maps remove chaos sinks?

There is no kirc map mods, which sounds fine on paper as things were offset with scarabs, but overall it means less chaos being removed from the economy. This alone would be fine, but paired with this other change, not so much...

Means we will be able to scour alch our maps instead, which is usually not only cheaper but it also means no chaos being removed by rolling these either. I think nightmare maps should require the chaos to modify.

If both of these are removed, as it stands to happen now, divines will be 300+ chaos each or worst.

They actually talked about it in the interview and admitted there arent really any good chaos sinks. So yes I would expect poe 2 levels of div/c ratios.

Remains to be seen if they consider that a problem and will reintroduce a chaos sinks in the future.
I think they could easily put the chaos modify only like thing that t17 maps had before to these, that alone will HELP.

Good riddance to the chaos sinks, I prefer having to do less things to my maps to run them. Now you just alch, vaal and go. No more chisels either.

Its so much more simple now and I appreciate that.

Besides that, even if chaos decreases in value that just means all the scarabs, items and maps I sell to other players will sell for more chaos.

And map device crafts were expensive too, now instead of having to spend chaos on every map you get better atlas passives.

"No chaos sinks" = propoganda to force the market to higher chaos/divine ratios.

For what end.

People think this will be fine because gcp or exalts will take its place, but trade is already annoying enough when people don't price items in chaos as is now.

Bare min make nightmare maps chaos only like t17s were, at least keep one of the sinks in the game, plus do we really want nightmare maps to be able to be ran white or blue in order to get fragments easily?

if there were no streamers or youtube videos a lot of these currency inflations wouldn't happen as they do.
Chaos was the standard trade currency long before we had t17s, and rerolling maps with chaos was also a thing people were doing long before t17s.

Not sure what your point is with this one, for a while now its always been cheaper to reroll maps with scour alchs then it has been to use chaos orbs. However, you needed to use chaos orbs for t17 which I overall thought was a pretty good idea, we've also had kirc mods (or zana mods) for a very, very long time, rolling these into the scarabs seems like a good change because logging out or switching some activities can reset your preference, but I liked the chaos sink being there and there are some things that arent 1:1 replaced with adjustments by the removal.

I don't think this issue will just "go away", people, especially now after the instant trade will not know how to interact with the price of certain things and perhaps the solution is more drop downs on trade filter to show GCP or divine pricing, exalt or divine pricing, like chaos and divine pricing reflects now.

Not looking forward to 300 or 500 to 1 divine orb chaos pricing. Hell it might just be filtering out chaos orbs since finding one after a week is pointless.

I dont see why its acceptable to remove 2 of the larger chaos sinks in the same patch and assume it will be ok for players.

Does it matter though? There are no game play downsides to the changes. That is what matters. If chaos are worthless then people will use chaos instead of alch + scour because it is faster. Lots of people already do this even though it is more expensive because it is faster. What the chaos:div ratio ends up becoming doesn't matter and nor should design changes be held back by such notions.
